It's so difficult to get the right product if you don't physically handle it. This looks fine but it's essentially left-handed for those who want to use standard units. I apologize to those who like the metric system but I need this to measure in inches and it's essentially left-handed if you're going to do that because of the way the tape unrolls. If youre left handed then the inches are on top and the centimeters are on bottom of the tape as it unfolds. It's fine and it will work but I definitely would have purchased something else if I would have known that. But there's just no way to know until you're holding it. You'll see! Bought this when I was measuring out my property and couldn't figure out where I had stored my 200 footer. This product is bright colored, light weight and compact compared to my larger one. In my opinion, the quality is on par with the name brands. The difference is, it has a plastic loop end on the tape which I don't expect to cause any problems if treated properly. It has metal tape guides and the tape itself is bright and easy to read. Unless you use it every day under harsh conditions it should last for many years. Experience: even the expensive name brands break if abused. I didn't want to spend a lot because I knew the 200 footer was hiding on me somewhere. As it goes, soon as you replace something, the old one shows always shows up. Still love the new Amazon 100 footer and prefer using it as my first choice.. You can't go wrong for the price.
