  • Bandeja de soporte para portátil
The media could not be loaded. ... show more

  • Not bad for the price
As with all things, time will tell. Pro: Cheap, functional. Cons: Packaging is a little over the top (Manual, parts, etc.) Arm rods could have a more secure "confidence-inspiring" connection to the mount. - Seems to hold an MSI GE67HX just fine. Just a wee-bit sketch. Getting the rods symmetrical is 3/4's the battle of installation. It would have been nice if push-ball locks had securely connected the two. Instead, you're left to trust the product to hold and not drop your device with hand-tight turn knobs. If you have OCD, grab your measuring tape. Overall, a good purchase. Will update. ... show more

  • *Almost* exactly what I thought I was getting
I do most of my work at a desk, with my 2018 15" Macbook Pro connected to an external keyboard, mouse, and display. I have a dual-arm mount (not AmazonBasics), with the external display on one of the arms, and until now the other arm has been floating free, waiting for me to buy a tray like this. I don't type on the laptop. I saw lots of reviews saying that they didn't like that the laptop wiggles when they type. That's likely a problem with the arm, not the tray. I don't recommend this product for people who want to type on the laptop rather than on a separate keyboard. I really like that I can now position the laptop up higher, so that my two screens are closer together. I can keep my eyes more at the same level while I work, and it's made having a second monitor much more valuable. Before this, I would work almost exclusively on the external monitor, and the laptop would sit off to the side with an empty screen most of the time. Having had it only a day, I'm already making much more use of the laptop screen when connected. Just what I wanted! The laptop seems to run a bit cooler, so I don't hear the fans as much, as compared to having it flat on my hardwood desk. I strongly recommend the use of some kind of docking station. I use a Thunderbolt dock that can provide power and connectivity in a single cable, so I just set the laptop on the tray, plug in one cable, and I'm good to go. There's one thing I view as a real flaw. It's not a problem with this product, but rather with the entire idea of putting a laptop on a tray mounted to a spring-tensioned arm: when I take the laptop off the tray (an almost-daily occurrence), the arm is relieved of its usual weight and it pops up to its highest position, and then when I set the laptop back on it I have to adjust it back to the position I like. It's not a huge issue, and I'm absolutely going to keep this product, but it's a minor annoyance which I did not anticipate before purchasing. I'm going to look into somehow fastening some extra weight to the underside of the tray in order to hold it in position. ... show more

  • Great for large+heavy laptops!
At first I was skeptical that the "AmazonBasics" notebook mount tray would be possibly the best laptop tray for a giant laptop like the Alienware 17 r4, but it turns out it's fantastic. At the time of writing, the AmazonBasics tray seems to be secretly identical to the Ergotron 50-193-200 Notebook Tray. I don't have any proof of this other than product descriptions and pictures, but it's built with an equivalent level of quality to the Ergotron LX arm. Back to the tray. I wanted to mount the 17r4 on a laptop arm, and wanted to get a tray with adequate cooling/airflow space. At first, I thought the "Mount-It! VESA Laptop Mount Tray" (https://smile.amazon.com/Mount-Universal-Notebook-Monitor-Computers/dp/B06WW8NVTK) would be a good idea because it seems like it offers more ventilation. It is NOT a good idea (read my review there for why). The AmazonBasics tray is built out of SOLID materials... The tray is some relatively thick sheet steel with strong screw holes (that extend past the thickness of the sheet metal for a couple threads). The arms on the front are aluminum with rubber end caps, and the arm clamps underneath seem to have really solid clamping force. The tray shipped with a bunch of useful accessories: * Various screws (including thumbscrews, which I used) * 3 sets of 'retainer' hooks for the rear of the laptop. For the alienware 17 r4, they don't do a whole lot, but I think for thinner machines you could totally sneak them through the screen hinge and provide some additional retention. * 3 strips of 3M adhesive velcro (for attaching a removable laptop dock). I used one of these to attach an engineering ruler which props up the back end of the laptop. Airflow SOLVED. * 1 fat rubber 3M adhesive thingy (if you have a smooth-bottomed laptop, like a MacBook or similar) * 2 wire loop hooks (not pictured). Useful for cable management once you actually attach it to an arm. Additionally, this laptop tray uses a full 75x75 VESA pattern to mount, meaning it's got a solid 56.25 cm^2 contact area with the mounting arm (unlike the Mount-It! arm, with a paltry 12 cm^2). This tray never felt like it would flex, slip or otherwise. (The box things hanging off the back of the laptop are opolar lc06 laptop coolers (https://smile.amazon.com/Temperature-Auto-Temp-Detection-2600-5000RPM-Nintendo/dp/B01NACVLWM/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1533584317&sr=1-3&keywords=opolar+lc06), in case you're wondering. Yes they do actually work (pull down internal temps by a 5-6 degrees C), and yes, they can be a bit loud) So, anyway, if you want to support a giant probably-shouldn't-be-on-an-arm-but-you-want-to-anyway laptop, you want this tray :). Since the aluminum arms are extendable, I would also trust this stand for any reasonably sized machine too :). I would NOT put a Predator 21 X on this :P ... show more

  • Easy to install, holds a 17" laptop
Was easy to install on a Ergotron stand. It's stable and I've had no issues adjusting the height and position of the laptop while on the stand. While I don't know if I will continue to use it, I was glad it was an option.

  • May scratch your laptop
The plate is metal and narrow, i.e. it’s likely to foot between your laptop’s feet and rub metal on laptop bottom directly.
