    • absolutely the finest brake pads i have ever used.
the brking performance of my 2013 Haro 100.3 was dismal to say the least. I could not get the bike to stop much less skid. I put a set of these on and Vioila! the first time I tried the front brakes I nearly flipped over the bars. They help the factory tektros stop better than the Avid Elixir disc brakes on my mountain bike. I have since put them on every bike with caliper brakes i own. They are a bit noisy but it is entirely acceptable considering their performance. I will be a loyal purchaser of these as long as Odyssey continues to make them. ... show more

My 26” GT performer stock rears were terrible, couldn’t even lock the tire up. I put the clears on as I have black wheels and they leave no marks. They stop amazingly good but do make some noise. Just to start, the name of the product is slim four. They like other pads are sold in pairs. The clear pads are insane. Pretty close to absolute neat lock up with not a lot of pressure. I have two boys, both of whom needed the rear brake pads replaced on their bikes. "Slim by Four"- cool! two birds with one stone - I'll get these and be done, I thought. As it turns out these only come as a package of two, so that's my word of caution. Other than that the pads seem to be of good quality. They weren't too hard to set-up and get aligned correctly, but they required readjustment within a few days of installation because they had already started squeaking while the boys used the brakes. I admit some fault with the package size problem, I didn't read far enough into the description, which clearly indicates that this is a package of 2, but the branding alone led me to believe that it was a package of four, I'm hopeful that this review prevents others from making the same mistake. ... show more

These pads seem to do the trick on my black anodized Revenge rims. I gave them proper toe in when I installed them but they just squeaked and didn't grab well. I decided to run them parallel to the braking surface for more contact. They grabbed much better and minimals squeaks. Been riding them for 3 weeks or so. Now they seem to be broken in and starting to squeak a bit here and there. Might try giving them toe in now like normal. Either way they're way better than the grey pads that came stock in my Fit Mac. ... show more

The clear pads turned an otherwise useless bike into a joy to ride. Many other brands of standard pads were attempted but the bike would not brake well at all for me and not at all with my daughter's weaker pull. I have now attempted a set of the clear pads (soft compound) and now the bike stops on a dime.
