It inflated within hours. It's very comfortable. The edges are a bit on the soft side when you sit on it but that's ok - I don't sleep on the edge! We purchased this matress for our youngest son. We wanted something that would be delivered quickly, good quality, within the budget, and comfortable. We have been pleasantly surprised and this matress has met all of our needs. The matress is firm though still comfortable. We had no issues with the matress not inflating completely. When unpacking the matress we made sure it laid flat and was not laid on for 24 hours to ensure full inflation. No problems with any weird smells/stains/materials/or bugs. It has been used now for over a week with the Amazon basics boxspring and is holding up well.

I really didnt want to buy this. It seemed chincy, not very thick. Anybody xan buy foam from joanne fabrics and make this, right? Exceptionally comfortable. Bought it because of the lowest price king matresses it was iver 4 stars. Granted ,price was around 350, and that was 440 percent off for some reason, but its worth 500-750 all day long. Have it on plywood, 3/4 tongue and groove. One of the most comfortable beds ever, its mot super soft, but it is ablut perfect. And i came from a sleep number via seally posterpedic. Very happy

This mattress is amazing for the price! About 6 years ago we had purchased a king size mattress in a box from a different seller as I don’t recall Amazon Basics being a provider. Anywho, we moved out of state and needed a new one. It is easy to set up. You unbox. Roll the air tight seal package it comes in. Cut the plastic package making sure you won’t accidentally cut the mattress. Remove packaging and leave it for at least 48 hours to get its form and then you have a mattress ready to have a good nights sleep. We bought the one with the aloe Vera. We’re updating our home so our kiddos are sleeping in our king size bed and we have not had any problem. I find it to be a medium firm mattress and soft not stiff. If able to I will update longevity.

Heed my warning fair friends and fellow lookers of a comfy slumber. So starts the tale. Unfortunately w/ a purchase like this, one cannot accurately give a review w/out proper time. Which also means it will run well past the return window. Unless there is a glaring issue that can be addressed immediately. Like it's cut in half or filled w/ rocks. Other than that. It's a slow burn and this was a slow burn indeed. A very slow and painful burn. The bed is neither soft nor hard. So, it pleases no one. The mattress will contour to you just enough that if you dare shift spots in the middle of the night, you will now be on a slope for 30 minutes until the bed decides to allocate a new space for your mass. The bed is soft enough to let you sink in, but just the heaviest parts, but not deep enough to let the lighter parts have any support. For example; Your butt will sink in, but just a smidge. Leaving your legs to float just above like a horrible hoverboard of discomfort. Same goes for your lower back. And like David Blaine, just levitates, unlike Mr Blaine's captivated audience, this little trick leaves no one clapping for more. Side sleeping is almost impossible as I stated earlier because of the sloping. Unless you don't mind possibly taking a nose dive off the reverse ramp straight to your floor. In trying to be everything to everyone, it actually accomplishes nothing and ends up being for no one. Like a meatless hamburger. Pointless for all involved. A jack of all trades, yet master of none. My wife and I are now walking around like Quasimodo and cursing Amazon for not allowing for a proper trial of such an important piece of furniture. Our twisted and aching lumbar curses you. I'd stay away from this my fellow sleep deprived review readers.
