  • nice and simple but not straight
Style: Tripod Stand Configuration: 1-Pack
Not bad for a tiny little tripod you might need. There is no way to tighten the legs but you need a decent amount of pressure to make it lower from where you set them to - and if something weighs that much it should be on a hardier tripod anyway. Downside is that the seat doesn't sit at 90-degrees when you tilt it straight up (it is 90-degrees when you shift it to the side) ... show more

  • A great little tripod for my webcam
Style: Tripod Stand Configuration: 1-Pack
I decided to pick up this little tripod to go with the new webcam I just bought. My monitor is on a raised shelf, so my old webcam pointed down toward me at an angle. That often left me looking up at it above my glasses – and some people seemed to think this made me look creepy. Now I can put my tripod-mounted webcam on the shelf where my monitor sits and have it face me pretty much straight on. I was initially a little surprised at just how small this tripod is, but it has worked out perfectly for me. You don’t get any instructions in the box, but it isn’t too hard to figure out. You mount your camera to the screw on top, maneuver it to whatever angle you want, and then use the dumaflache on the side to tighten it up to hold that position. Once you extend the legs of the tripod, there’s no worry about the thing slipping or falling over. It’s definitely portable, as well – heck, I could carry this thing in my front pants pocket without any problem. You need a special clamp if you want to mount your smartphone on this thing, but I can mount my old Flip camera just as easily as I can my webcam. I’m very happy with this little tripod. ... show more

  • Nice basic little tripod for you desk
Style: Tripod Stand Configuration: 1-Pack
Hello and welcome to my review Are you ready to hear all about the AmazonBasics Lightweight Mini Tripod? Well let's get started with the PROs: It seems pretty durable. It is made out of metal and has a classic big tripod look and a mini feel. I liked that my web cam worked with this tripod, I have a logitech c920 in case you were wondering. It simply screwed on and then you use the nut wheel to tighten it up. there is also an adjustment to position it almost any way you need to also with a lock on it. Each leg extended 3 tiers and had nice little rubber feets on them. Now for the CONs: I wish this had been a little taller , silly me ordered it thinking it was going to be bigger than 8 inches tall.I also felt like it would have looked better if the legs were all the same color rather than 1 black section and the rest silver. CONCLUSION: I would recommend this product if you are looking for something small to hold a camera on like a table top or a desk. I found the product to be well constructed and easy to use. • Nothing Stable About It
Style: Tripod Stand Configuration: 1-Pack
At first glance, this seems like the perfect desktop budget tripod. In reality it is far more maddening than the money saved on this. The tripod part is fine. It's sturdy enough. However, the weight of even the smallest of webcams makes the top part unlock so you will CONSTANTLY be fighting with gravity trying to get the camera to lock in place. As soon as you think you've got it locked and good to go, some internal mechanic slips and your camera is suddenly looking at the ceiling. Again. So no, I would not recommend this unless you want your tripod to look at the ceiling. ... show more

  • It's tiny, it's light weight and it works.
Style: Tripod Stand Configuration: 1-Pack
Purchased this for a vacation I was taking and didn't' feel like packing my normal sized tripod. My main goal for this was so I could take long exposure photos of the stars when my dad and I stayed on top of Comet mountain in Montana. To reach the trail head we had to ride dirt bikes 4 miles in because the roads were too ruff for most vehicles to traverse so a full sized tripod was out of the question. This little guy performed wonderfully. It was small and light weight so I could just toss it in a pocket on my backpack and it held the camera still enough to take some decent photos (my camera is a point and click so it wasn't going to be National Geographic worthy) ... show more

  • good enough for a set-and-forget setup that you don't have to manipulate too often
Style: Tripod Stand Configuration: 1-Pack
This seemed pretty decent for ten bucks. I'm using it to support a very small and lightweight handheld camcorder. At first when I got it out of the box I thought it was even smaller than it really is. The legs telescope out just like on a real tripod, although there is no special locking mechanism, just friction to hold them in the extended position. I didn't feel super secure about its stability, so I lashed it to another nearby object with a piece of string. It took me a while to figure out how to attach the camera securely to the mount. (1) Lock the ball joint by cranking down hard clockwise on the black semicircular handle. (2) Rotate the entire tripod to screw it into the camera. (3) Screw the silver wheel upward so that it locks in to the bottom surface of the camera with friction. (4) Unlock the ball joint, adjust the camera's orientation, and then lock it again. Pointing the camera is a very fidgety compared to a real tripod, but if you try a few times, eventually it's possible to get it pretty close. I would recommend this for an application like mine where you want to put a webcam in a certain position and then never mess with it again. I wouldn't recommend it if you need to frequently adjust where it's pointed, or if you need it to be stable against insults and vibration without being lashed to something else. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for
Style: Tripod Stand Configuration: 1-Pack
This tripod would not reliably hold my camera, allowing it to fall constantly. The biggest problem was that the locking mechanism to hold the camera up simply does not twist well at all so it does not tighten reliably to hold the camera up. This was a major disappointment. I ended up returning this one and buying a more expensive one. ... show more
