    • NOT A PLUMBER BUT IT WORKED
Was a little apprehensive as I have previously used a plumbing snake on a reel with a motor. (Total overkill but my brother buys these big items, snake with a motor, to make himself feel more manly...) So I am pretty uncoordinated with plumbing and it took we a while to get the hang of using a drill to power this snake. But after some muscle pushing the snake in and then hitting the drill my clog was unblocked. Dont get me wrong I was soaked, smelled like old black goop and had black spots all over my face...But after a lot of persistence I now have a cleared line. One more thing, dont pour huge amounts of drano down the sink for a bad clog...Doesnt work and I found out once again that drano burns and causes swelling on your hands...Again I am a plumbing dum dum....But I did it in the end and you can too! ... show more

I needed this 6 hours before I ordered it and had it 12 hours after I did. So delivery speed was the major decision, price 2nd. I'm glad this is the one I chose. Yes, Amazon promotes its own products so, it propably was high on your scroll and showed up more than once. This one is solidly an off brand so has few comforts or extras. It's good for home use. Don't get this one if you're a pro or helping lots of homes. ... show more

    • Not fancy but gets the job done
I had a horribly clogged toilet. Tried several things, from Green Gobbler to a toilet air gun type tool and nothing budged. After using this basic snake on the toilet a couple of times at the full length and a couple of gentle plunges, everything is flowing normally again. This snake compared to others like it is just as good. Definitely worth going the Amazon Basics route if you are looking to save a few bucks. ... show more

    • Cheaply made, but it did the trick
The end threads are plastic and it unscrewed itself while using. The spring end of the line isn't really large, so I doubt it could bore through a good plug. Turned out my line was plugged at the start so didn't really need it, but will keep it in case I do later. If it works on a true blockage I'll re-rate. ... show more
