I have one dog that is picky, one that is not so much. They bothe ate the vitamins the first 4 days, then they started spitting them out. I had to grind the pill into powder , add 2 tablespoons of canned food and add 1/4 cup water to make a gravey to the picky dogs dry food in order for her to eat it. The not so picky dog is a smaller 50 lb boxer. The pill was too big for her. Once I broke it into 2 pieces she was eating them again. My vet suggested I get my 8 year old dog (blue heeled/border collie) a glucosamine supplement after I told him she was seeming stiff when getting up most often when the weather was cold or rainy - same as me, actually. Originally I thought I ordered the name brand supplement which my sister said worked wonders on her dog. I was disappointed when I realized I’d ordered Amazon’s brand but had already opened the bottle so figured just to use it up and see how it went. It takes several months to see results. After the first bottle was finished- I give her two a day - she seemed better. Not so limpy. Bought a second bottle. She is greatly improved! I put it in Molly's mouth and she spit it out. I put it on top of her food and she didn't eat for 24 hours until we took it off. It is opened so no refund. Complete waste of money. Back to the more expensive brand that she likes. Money lost.
