How simple that is: Fill the reservoir with your preffered amount of water, particularly filtered if you have it. Now fill the coffee filter with beans, (12 cups=6 Scoops), place it in the coffeemaker and push the blue button on the right side and just kick back and wait...It's as easy as that! I am left handed anyone else knowing about how we function. I have always had these types having the measurements on both sides and the lid design seems it's really a right handed device. As I have failing vision I practice and knotice these things. Is the cost helping buy only selling right handed device or why the universal types should be still considered the better. Decent value for the money, but you can tell where they have cut corners to keep the price down. Note that the brewing basket is all plastic (on the left) compared to the metal mesh version from Mr. Coffee (on the right). If you're concerned about microplastics, the included plastic mesh basket could be an issue. Not only is it cheap, but the plastic mesh filter is as likely as the plastic mesh tea bags to shed microplastics into your coffee. I had just broken the glass pitcher on my Mr. Coffee, and it just happened to be a perfect fit for the new Amazon branded version. The electric cord is another obviously cheap part. The cable is stiff, which is a reflection of the braiding and size of the copper strands that make up the cord. The finer and thinner gauge the strands, the more supple the cable. The one on the Amazon coffee maker are very stiff, indicating that they've used a cheaper grade of cable. On the positive side, the coffee maker works fine. The brewing element shuts off after the water has been transferred to the brewing basket, so only the pot heater remains on. I also like that this coffee maker has a slim profile, so it takes up a minimum amount of valuable counter space. I'm happy with the purchase, but glad I had a different basket that would work. Now, we'll see how long it lasts.

We purchased this to take on road trips, so we could have quality coffee in the hotel. I've always been a little concerned about using the in-room hotel coffee makers. And, quite frankly, the coffee most hotels serve in the lobby is weak. This coffee maker is lightweight, easy to transport, and does an excellent job with the task at hand. It makes a great cup of morning coffee. Consider buying a small tote bag to carry the coffee maker and pods. It's been a game changer.

Bought this to replace an oster 12 cup. While it makes coffee, temp needs an increase. Also, it moves around too much. Needs more weight in the base and better soft feet to help with grip. I will be purchasing a different brand and put this in the pantry as a backup.

When first I opened the box I thought it was all a bit too fragile. However, after about 3 or 4 weeks of use I've begun to really like the coffee made from this little still and have not had any problems with it. I do remain careful with it but the coffee delivered from this little item has really been quite good. One does need to be careful emptying and cleaning the dry and/or wet little nylon netting device holding the dry coffee, I like my coffee fairly strong and it can reach this level easily.
