I love this coffee maker. It is small for a 12 cup appliance and makes Hot coffee with ease of operation. I like to use a coffee maker with no timer so I can plug it into a timer and have it come on when I want and stay on until I want it to go off. I can even have it heat up again later. No idea how long this unit will last, pretty much all plastic. But cranks out coffee quickly and the resulting brew tastes fine. Load it up when you get up, whiz, brush your teeth, get dressed and this baby will have a finished product waiting for you.

My old coffeemaker gave up the ghost so it was time for a new one, this AmazonBasics coffeemaker is inexpensive so I bought it. It arrived well packed and the carafe wasn't broken which is nice. It comes with a reusable filter but you can remove it and use a paper filter if you like. It has a small footprint and it isn't very tall which is nice, it matches my other appliances too. I just moved recently and needed a coffee maker, the amazon basic 12 cup unit was a good price, I believe it was on sale when I purchased it. The built in filter is easy to use and clean and this thing makes plenty of coffee for a home of 2 people and the occasional guests. The only down side to this unit is that it doesn't auto shut off after a time so if you forget to shut it off, it will burn through the coffee and create a burnt coffee smell in the house. That's really the only con I have about this unit so far after using it for about a month. ... show more

For too long I was refraining from buying coffee makers, then I decided to try this cheap product. Oh man, I wish I tried it earlier, I'm very pleasantly surprised how easy it is to use it and how good coffee it makes (both in regards to taste and to caffeine levels to boost my energy up). It's a very simple device and yet the coffee I get is as tasty (if not more) that what I got in the past with other processes, plus it's easy to make it once in the morning and to have several refills ready at any time during the day. It requires a tiny bit more effort to clean it (to wash the filter), but it isn't a significant problem. Once this unit breaks (it's so simple, I'm sure it will take a long time), I'll go with the same product to replace it, it's just that good, simple and cheap. ... show more
