The media could not be loaded. I ordered a 24 inch fire put because I wanted a wide range of the flame. What Amazon intentionally doesn’t show you is they use a very tiny gas ring inside and most of the fire pit is empty space. A lot of wasted space just to take up on your deck or table with no extra flame for it. They probably use the same exact ring for the 19 inch, where there is a better size/flame ratio. If you’re not going at the max flame setting you will hear a loud annoying whistling noise, see my video. Competitor brands attribute this to unclean holes in the burner ring (stamped vs drilled etc) but I don’t know enough yet.

This is a great little portable gas firepit. It is small enough to move around or even take places (carry strap included) it is easy to set up and use, it has auto ignition and starts right up. Instructions were clear and simple, the construction quality is very good, we had it out of the box and put together in about 20 minutes. Lava rocks were included, it uses the same propane as a gas grill. It has everything but a cover, those are pretty easy to find. It’s smokeless and very convenient to quickly set up a fire anytime you want to sit outside and turn off when you’re done. Very pleased with this product.

This was shipped through USPS and the carrier didn't even try to deliver it (I was home when they came by). I found a tag in my mailbox to pick up the item from the post office. After pick up the fire pit and setting it up, I was impressed. I honestly was not expecting too much, but it is a good size for our needs. I would say a medium size of other pits I've seen recently. It appears to be of a good quality build and materials and puts off more heat than I expected. It has a cover to put over the top when not in use and I used it one night, but put the whole thing our shed after that. It comes with carrying straps so moving it was not a problem. If we had a covered patio I would leave it out all the time, but we do not sadly so just to be on the safe side I moved it before rain was forecast the next morning. I comes with lava rocks, but you could always replace these if you want to us other stones or pebbles made for a fire pit to fit your decor better. So far I really like this fire pit! Keeps you and guests warm on cool/slightly cold nights when gathering/hanging out on the patio. We also plan on using it during the summer for holiday gatherings around the pool to make smores and such. It will be great. Have not had it long enough to comment on gas usage, but the tank doesn't seem to be much lighter after several nights of using it. I'll update later if gas usage is a problem.

I was really impressed with this grill. It's small but not too small. was exactly what I was looking for. It's made really good and it's heavy duty yet it's still lightweight and easy to take cramping and still. Very portable. And it works really good. We are very happy with this and will be using it a lot during the summer.

The Amazon Basics 55,000 BTU Portable Propane Gas Carry Strap Fire Pit is a decent portable fire pit at a reasonable price. It seems reasonably well made, and the lava rocks it comes with are sufficient and of reasonable size. (They're dirty, though, so definitely don't open the box inside like I did!) On the plus side, you get the lava rocks, plus a lid, and a reasonably long gas hose (10 feet) that has an integrated regulator. (Gas tank not included, by the way). On the downside, the pit is made of black painted steel, rather than something like cast iron, which can retain heat better (but is heavier and so not very portable). I found the portability to be very good, especially since the legs fold underneath for more compact storage. As for the heat: 55,000 BTU provides pretty good warmth in a temperate environment. Think high 40s outside, without too much wind. This will not provide enough heat if you're nearing freezing temps--at least not without some good jackets :-) The rated 55000 BTUs of this fire pit is on the low end of outdoor fire pits, but that's why it's portable. A standard 20 pound tank will provide about 320,000 BTUs from a "full" (75%) tank, so you get about 6 hours on full throttle from this pit on a full tank. (More if you turn down the heat). That's pretty good, but you should factor in the cost of running.

We got this to use outside our home or at the beach. It arrives in a box, needing minor assembly. It was very easy to put together. It comes with lava rocks. It is fairly lightweight. We were able to move it around easily. We would buy it again.
