  • Sound quality and affordability.
The price to quality ratio is very good. They sound much more expensive than their actual price point. I am pushing them with the fifth channel of a Boss PV3700 wired at two ohms and they are loud, clear and low. I set the amp level mid way and the bass boost to 25% and they the are very articulate with the low pass crossover point set at 250 hertz. The four PRV 6x9 midrange on the doors and rear wall panels are set at 240 hertz for a smooth sonic transition from low to mid frequencies. That in combination wit 4 soundstream tweeters connected to the head unit speaker outs, sounds extremely well combined. I can actually hear all the instruments when listening to classical music and jazz. The vocals are very natural sounding and the higher frequencies are crisp and very well balanced with all other frequencies. My minivan is ready for my first trip to Pennsylvania from Florida. I would recommend these as a great starting point for beginner DIY projects. ... show more

  • Deep Clear Bass, Incredible Price.
I'm running a single swa 12" with an alpine mrp-500 and the clarity is incredible with no distorsion at full volume, deff build or order a ported box to alpine's specs of 1.91 cubic ft. Its a large box if your limited on space but the sound quality is unbelivable. At 4 ohms my amp pushes roughly 300 watts and this sub could take more (clean, gain-set) rms power. Two wired for at least 500 watts are a perfect budget build if you got the space. Value per dollar you cant beat these for sound quality, as expected form alpine, as for spl these subs were geared toward pushing air over sound quality, the surround is an 1-1/4" in diameter and alpine claims a maximum peak to peak of 52mm, but you will need more than one if you want crazy loud. ... show more

  • Good speakers
I have two of them hooked up to an alpine mono amp rms 500 watts. The amp is adjusted almost to 3/4. Its sounds good. Hopefully they will last because i will pushed them with this amp.The ONLY thing i dont like is the seller (A&A ONLINE) warranty is for 30 days. If these subs is not reliable i will see. UPDATE the speakers are doing well i switched my amplifier to a kx600.1 kicker amp and they really do well very loud deep bass. I put kicker cvr in their and they didnt sound as good as the alpine. I feel they're good beyond the price and ive been having a systems in my vehicles for a long time ... show more

  • CAPTAIN INSANO!!!!
I was looking for a good mix between price and sound, and even though I was expecting to spend a little more on subs that what I payed for these, due to the good reviews I went with the Basslines. And WOW! These things are awesome! I used to own a Kicker 15 incher, and it sounded good, but these things sound way better. I have 2 of them in a custom box I built myself tuned to 28 hz, and they SLAM out the low notes, making my back deck jump up and down like crazy. I was showing off to a friend the other day in a parking lot, and a man came outside and asked to look. I asked, "you could hear that inside the building?", and he said "Yeah, my whole office was shaking!" Needless to say, they can handle more power than I need to make my music sound amazing. I'd say for the price, these can't be beat. ... show more

  • Eh..........Spend a little more for better quality
This is a decent woofer for the money. I think I expected more from it though. I have it hooked up to a modestly powered amp, an old school Rockford 300S rated at 300 watts rms. It sounds good in my 1.5 cf ported box but when the volume goes up it gets some really stinky burnt voice coil smell. I expected that 300 watts wouldn't over power it but I was wrong. I don't expect this thing to last long but at only $50 I figure it was a cheap lesson. ... show more

  • Great sound quality till it lasted
Great sound quality till it lasted. They were being ran at 250 watts and a month latter I hear a big buzzing noise...I thought that these subs would be worth the money but I guess not. You get what u pay for.. Cheap.

  • These are LOUD!!
They SLAM!! I bought one and loved it decided to buy another one. Even though the picture shows the white letter one they sent me the the black one. I wanted them to match i guess the black letter one is a newer version on the bassline. Anyway. These FN rock. Got them in a ported box and they are slamming. So loud! love the way they shake my jeep grand cherokee. I would definitely buy again. Best subs ive ever had!! ... show more
