I'm a 63 year old woman and put them both together in about an hour. And I took my time. I'm on the larger side, so I wanted a stool that was comfortable and STURDY. These stools were incredibly easy to put together; took me 30 minutes max to assemble four of them. They are incredibly sturdy and the cushion is thick and easy to maintain. Only "complaint" is that one of the pre-drilled holes for the screws was too small and I wasn't able to get it in but it honestly doesn't compromise the integrity of the stool even without it. I am 5'6 and 300+ lbs and there is zero wobble or movement. I love that there are adjustable "feet" for uneven floors. My big thing when I buy furniture is how much weight can it hold, the design and then comfort. I never buy anything can’t support an adult+child. I have 3 kids under 3. My husband is 300lbs. Let me tell you-out of the barstools we have sat on with padding owned by friends and family, this is the best design to support weight. It’s comfortable and easy to maneuver-not heavy like it looks.
