The noise level is low, so it doesn’t bother us even when it runs for long hours. After a few months of continuous use, my basement stays dry and comfortable. This seems to be working. Sadly though, they are out of stock on this. I perhaps may have bought another but they are out of stock. We will see. It made me nervous they were out of stock because it has a WIFI app and frankly this company ain't big enough to have a WIFI app that I trust completely and at the 100% level. But I desperately want to rid my basement crawlspace of humidity so I am relying upon it. The app seems a little bit amature hour, and maybe you might say "home made" and sort of "old school" yet seems to function. It's not screaming "I'm a $100 billion dollar silicon valley startup" by any stretch of the imagination. It seems to work, but the semi-crude interface does not inspire 100% trust in it. I reached out to the company asking what was up with the out of stock situation. Was this thing just not good?Because on the surface it seems to be well made but I have not run it long enough nor run the app long enough to be 100% sure. Maybe after a year or so we will see? Hopefully its a reliable company with this sort of thing? Who knows? Time will certainly tell. I am a hopeful customer, just not 1000% sold yet.

This dehumidifier is very compact but has a very large drying capacity. It works great for drying the crawl space. Before this, my crawl space was always damp, now it is always dry. The app helps me keep tabs on the humidity level without having to go down into my crawl space to check.

This HD55 works great once it’s set up. I struggled with the WiFi initially. Could have been me or the instructions could have been better. Once I got it connected, the WiFi and the App have been excellent. You can check your dehumidifier from your phone from any location. You can even turn it on and off. I have a 1250 square foot crawspace. The height varies from 2 feet on one end to about 4 feet on the other. The HD55 took my humidity from 79 down to 59 the first day and has maintained that level easily since. It’s in standby more than it runs. It’s very efficient in this size space. The smell in my crawlspace isn’t nearly as strong. The WiFi is a game changer if you have the unit under your home and don’t want to crawl under there to make an adjustment.
