This camera feels very sturdy and seals very well around the usb c port that you plug the solar panel into. My wifi was out for 2 days, but I put a memory card into it and was still able to see the wild life in my backyard. In the winter you may have to charge it. I have mine in a spot that will not get sun all day so that’s what I have to do. Starting in spring it stays charged all day. That sound works great and I can get good angles. When I’m outside filling up the dishes for the cats it’s only takes a couple of seconds for me to get a notification. Only thing I didn’t realize was that it doesn’t record constantly, but for what I’m using it for that is not a problem.

I’ve been using the Solar Security Camera Wireless Outdoor (2K 3MP PTZ) for a few days now, and I’m genuinely impressed! From unboxing to full operation, it was super easy to set up. The solar panel works flawlessly, keeping the rechargeable battery topped off even on cloudy days. The 2K 3MP resolution delivers crisp, detailed video both day and night. The color night vision is surprisingly clear and really helps distinguish details in low light. The 355° pan and tilt range gives me complete coverage of my backyard with no blind spots – I can check in on everything from my phone with just a swipe. The PIR motion detection is spot on – it picks up people and animals accurately without constant false alarms. I also love the two-way talk feature, which lets me speak directly to visitors or delivery drivers even when I’m not home. I've installed this camera at my farm 7 months ago and I'm very impressed with this $45 wifi solar cam. It is always fully charged using the small solar panel even through the cloudy winter days here in Michigan. The wifi antenna that this camera connects to is in a farmhouse window about 250 ft away and always has full four bar signal. It sends alerts to my phone where I can view the recorded video clips or view live video. The pan and zoom worked through the cold snow and ice we had this winter although I did mount it under the northwest corner of a barn roof soffit which kept it out of some weather. I just purchased a second one of these cameras to mount in a different location.
