I was mislead by the photos! After assembling this bed and putting my 10” mattress on it, the hight came up to my knee (and I’m only 5’1”). Major “Pain in the Butt - or rather Back” trying to make the bed…you have to bend over the whole time, bc it’s so short! When I purchased, I thought it would be regular height. Too hard to make bed for an adult, with a 12” foam mattress. The base of the mattress on this frame is 6” from the ground. With a 12” mattress should bring it up to 18” from the floor. You would have to tuck in your sheet at 6”. On your hands and knees. I purchased the full amazon metal frame at 14” high. Then placed it inside the bed frame and raised the headboard all the way up. ( slats have to be removed to do this.) Now it’s fine. The height is 26” from the floor, with the bed frame around it. The Amazon metal frame has the legs in some, not straight down at the corners. Queen size frame had no missing pieces or hardware, with easy to follow instructions. Took about 40 mins to assemble going slow, no tools required. Dark gray upholstery looks nice and is sturdy so far with no squeaks or rattles. Issues were one of the holes was off center & the intended screw couldn't quite reach it. I had to use a good amount of force to bend the wooden plank in order for the screw to reach. Would've been easier with two people. Other issue was a strong smell coming from the fabric that took several days before it began fading. Overall good value & will likely last a long time in our sparingly used guest room. ... show more

This bed is beautiful. You’ll need at least a 12 inch mattress so your’ll not on the floor. I bought an 8 inch mattress and had to buy a boxspring to add height. That’s my mistake. My only compliant is that there were no instructions to put it together so I had to figure it out. Probably took twice as long. ... show more
