This is a nice sturdy skate. Not quite as well made as Roller Derby's laser speed quad skate. There are not many quad skate options for smaller feet. This is one of the best. Roller blades are not as much fun and much more taxing to little ankles. Besides looking like odd hunks of plastic. That's why we opted for the quad skate. We've had no issues with wheels. Sturdy and well made!! When tied and laced correctly they provide excellent ankle support. I bought three pair for my kids and they spend hours zooming around the house. (We have laminate floors and I have a screw loose. But, it keeps them from numbing their brains with tv all winter.)

Nice skates!. Do not but if your skater is experienced though. The wheels are stiff and do not really roll, this is more of a beginner skate. Also, keep in mind you cannot loosen the nuts to make the wheels roll. You get what you pay for. Will be buying my child higher quality.

These are quite nice for the price. They fit true to size and have good support for children. They do say they're for boys but girls will like them too especially if they're fans of the sport of roller derby. These are good for beginners and those with limited experience.

Trying to get the shoe sizing correct is difficult. There are no complete and correct sizing chart available. If you don't know the correct size of the child foot, forget it. I ended up having to replace one set of the three I bought with a one for 40% more than I wanted to spend, because it was given as a gift to one of my grandchildren. The replacement had a low-cut style that did not give the ankle support like the ones originally purchased. ... show more

I bought these for my twin grandsons who will be 8 years old in a month or so. They have been practicing on the grass outside as well as on the cement walkway.
