(UPDATE) 11/12/25 After numerous failed attempts by tech support to rectify the situation I must have been escalated to another tier. They accessed the camera / light in question and determined that it was a hardware issue. Two days later a new unit arrived at my house. Still not happy with original support (or lack of) but in the end Blink stood by their product and rectified the issue. As a consumer, that's what you want them to do. So all is well again! I am an avid Blink consumer. In all, I have 15 cameras inside and outside. One is this non wired floodlight. Overall I am VERY happy with Blink. My caution....stay far away from this product. In time the spotlight feature will stop working. Meaning that it will no longer come on with motion nor can it be controlled by the app. Blink support is zero and I mean ZERO help. After researching the issue on the web this is a common a recurring problem over the past few years that Blink has been unable to resolve. And yet, they keep selling them. Blink support will put you on an endless loop of ...change the batteries, unplug, replug, reset was rinse and repeat. All with the same results. Realizing the support was worthless, I did some experiments of my own. In my opinion the trouble lies in the short USB cord from the camera to the battery pack. The thick connection into the back of the camera is not the most secure and never seems to securily seat. If I take off the battery cover and go directly into the c attachment it fits securily. AND the spotlight works! It's not practical to mount the unit without the cover nor could you even mount it. So not a workable solution I did not ask for a refund. I usually never do. I learn and move on. But you think Blink would offer one or at least acknowledge that they are selling a non working product!! Love my Blink cameras. BUT if you buy this unit you are throwing your money away. Simply a horrible design with no support!

I got this camera to protect the side gate where pool workers tore down gate. Having a spotlight camera helps with security and letting me know when workers have arrived. Works great so far. Will see what happens with subscription at end of 30 days. Camera is easy to install and set up. No problems getting this onto to my iPhone and iPad. I just wish they had a computer version so I don't have to look at my phone. Have used it for two weeks. Will see how long battery lasts. It tells you when you are using it too much and battery is draining. This comes in handy. People complain that it drains fast. Well if you have in spots that get a a lot of foot traffic, it will drain. I am not one of those people continuously watching my cameras, so I set the alert times for night time or when I leave home. 2 months later, battery for both camera and spotlight needed to be replaced. It lasted longer than I thought, with a lot of alerts and checking that side gate was not moved. Overall, I am happy with the wireless although I may switch to a plug in for the rest of the pool build. I subscribed for a year.

With recent crime and vandalism in my neighborhood, I wanted to get a garage camera to be able to quickly see any detection and movement in front of my house. This camera does not fit the bill - here's why: - Camera Delay and Feed Issue: After getting a motion detection notification, the camera feed takes anywhere from 10-20 seconds to pull up from the app. Not to mention, the "live feed" is anywhere from 4-10 seconds delayed. And this is IF you’re lucky. Most times it won’t even pull up the feed after you click on the notation notification. This is useless as a live-feed security camera, as if there were any malicious activity being detected, by the time you got to see what's going on, it would be too late to even intervene. - Motion Detection Playback: Motion detection recordings are incredibly inconsistent. Sometimes it will show you a playback that is less than 1 second long, other times it will just provide you with a highly pixelated screenshot that tells you nothing. Also, if you want to quickly see a recent motion recording, they won't show up in your recording archive for several minutes, again, not allowing you to intervene if necessary in a timely manner. - Camera Quality: Very disappointed with the visual quality of the camera. The camera is not smooth at all and often times the live feed will pause for several seconds while viewing. My first-generation Ring doorbell camera from 7 years ago has a better camera and audio than this! - Installation: With the number of parts this came with, I was surprised that it came with virtually no instruction, other than a QR code that took you to a very basic overview of the camera (not even the right one, at that), that had no installation instructions. I had to watch several 3rd party videos to figure out what I was even looking at in my box and how everything went together. The design is not intuitive at all. - Sync Module Issues: On several occasions when power or internet have gone out, the sync module disconnects but does not reconnect. You have to manually intervene and install the module which is never a quick process, and typically doesn’t work for several days. Devices like this should be designed to automatically reconnect - you shouldn’t have to play the tech guy to get things back up and running anytime there’s a connection issue. - Misc.: LED "on" light is incredibly small and dull and does not turn on unless motion is detected. To me, having a bright camera LED that's always on is a big deterrent for any prospective thieves. The setup just looks like a big floodlight and nothing else. Speaking of big, the whole set up is very bulky, due to the large batteries the lights take (which by the way, the lights should be solar powered anyway. Another design opportunity missed). The camera mount just looks like an afterthought they slapped on and the system does not look like a sleek, modern design that Amazon would put their stamp of approval on. It's an unattractive hunk of black plastic that looks like its from 15 years ago. Overall, I'm disappointed with the camera and would not recommend it. It is not effective in the slightest as a proactive security camera and may be more suitable for someone who just wants to periodically check on an area outside their house where a "live feed" isn't necessary, although, I'm positive there are better, cheaper options available. The only reason I'm keeping it is because the recording subscription service is the cheapest I've found and also, there are very few camera options that are both wireless and have a floodlight integrated... Although you'd be better off buying a higher quality camera and a separate floodlight to pair with it. For what you get, this should be half the price of what it is. Update: just had a questionable person who kept ringing my doorbell and wouldn’t leave. He eventually went away from my door but my garage (Blink) camera kept sending me notifications that he was still there. Of course, I couldn’t pull up the live feed and no recordings were available for review. The only time I actually needed them to. I had to rush home from work to make sure everything was okay because Blink once again failed to show a live feed. This camera is absolutely worthless.

I am highly disappointed in this product as it just stopped working. It is located on a porch so it's not directly impacted by the elements. The camera works fine but the floodlights quit despite Blink troubleshooting suggestions and battery changes. I would not recommend this product as you may also get stuck with a bunch of D batteries. Revision I don't know if it was a firmware update or Blink troubleshooting, but the camera now functions.
