  • Solid multi-tool utensil travel set
The media could not be loaded. Awesome little multi-tool utensil set.. and that from someone’s whose not typically a multi-tool person. This is my second as I’d ordered one from another vendor awhile back and my kid decided he wanted that one. I’ll say I was surprised that this is a nice quality made item. Nothing on it feels cheap or flimsy. Every piece, edge, corner and surface is smooth and clean feeling with a nice overall finish. Holding each section initial seems a bit odd but everything is soft on the hands while holding and using. The size of each is good and comfortable. Usually the spoons are flat or too wide but this one is great. The serrated knife is sharp and has cut everything from bread to steak without any issues. The fork had the perfect size and bend. It originally took me a minute to figure out how to separate the two halves but not long. You simply have to side the sections properly and they come apart easily. Stiff at first but quickly becomes easier to separate or put back together. The pivots all rotate easily. While the knife locks into position and is easily closed by pressing the locking spring bar, the spoon and fork do not lock into positions, however they don’t seem to need to. Both open and click into place and do require a bit of force to rotate closed. So far we’ve used these in the kitchen, traveling in the truck and camping. I’ve been very surprised at how easy they operate, how well each part feels and how comfortable it is to use each feature of this multi-tool. Soups, steaks, fish, French toast, hotdogs, cereal, potatoes, bread, spaghetti, etc etc has all been used so far with this set. No issues and I liked it so much I added a second one. Cleaning should be done asap after use. With all the crevices and nooks I always wash them as soon as we’re done eating. I pack an old toothbrush which makes cleaning items like this super easy. Been camping for 50 years and have lots of gear. I’ve dropped these into the center console of the truck to use while traveling. They are priced well for what they are and I can easily recommend these. Uploaded several images as well as a video. ... show more

  • Great utensils!
Synopsis: I like it! While not ultralight, they are well made a sturdy. A good value and should last a long time. This will go into my backpack camping gear along with my long spork for pouch meals. Recommended! Initial impressions: Utensils came in an included nylon case. The case is nothing special but would help keep them clean and from getting snagged up in other gear. Working parts are stainless and the body is aluminum. Feels solid and well made. A little heavy if you're all in on titanium gear and planning on an Everest ascent, but not that bad for normal camping or backpacking. Use: I really like that the fork detaches from the knife and spoon part. They clip together securely and don't rattle around. The spoon is actually larger than expected but not too big. The fork is smaller but big enough to eat normally and wasn't annoying or an issue. The knife is very sharp, almost could be a multipurpose blade, but I'd keep food tools separate from work tools for hygiene. The knife has a liner lock (see pic), a nice touch! The spoon, fork and cork screw don't lock, but snap into place securely and I had no issues with collapsing. No metal taste or other problems. ... show more

  • Great for camping!!
A friend's kid was going to outdoor school for a week, so I got this as a gift for him to bring. Outdoor school here in Oregon is a rite of passage for all 7th graders (as far as I know). You spend a week in the woods, learning about some wilderness survival, and camping and stuff like that. I'm not 100% sure, since mine was in NY, and I was unable to go due to health reasons. But he LOVED these things, and apparently every other kid was super jealous so he wound up letting other kids use them more than he did. Talk about a great kid. 115% happy with the item!!! • Not my go to, but it will come in handy
I wanted to love this, but in the end, I simply like it. It is made of mostly stamped pieces, so there is a bit more flex to it than I would like. At first, I couldn't separate the two pieces, but after a few tries I heard the pieces *click* as everything moved into the right spot and I was able to separate the two pieces. It hasn't been an issue since. The most durable tool on this seems to be the corkscrew, with the waiter-type fulcrum as well. I think that the fulcrum could have been omitted, but it's not too in the way. The only piece that locks in place is the knife, which has a liner lock. The fork has a bit of a ball bearing that acts as a pin when it's in place. It is functional, but I would like it better if it could be locked in place to work better when cutting with the knife. The spoon seems to hold in place a bit better than the fork for now. This will go into the camp kit though and it will get put through some of its paces. Honestly, the can/bottle opener could be a bit of a lifesaver - it looks like it will do the job. If you want something for daily use, I'm not sure this will do, but if you need some tools in a pinch, this could be handy to pack. Pros: All the basic tools for camping and emergency use Waiter's corkscrew Liner lock for the knife Sharp! Carrying case Will do the job in a pinch Cons: Flexes a bit too much Was hard to separate the pieces at first Fork doesn't lock in place well Carrying case seems a bit flimsy ... show more

  • Sturdy and compact
I really like this camping utensil set. I pretty much got it only for the fork, spoon, and knife components. It is pretty doubtful I will ever use the corkscrew. Maybe will end up using the can opener, but usually carry a separate can opener. It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to get the knife open, but once I finally figured out how take the fork off to get the knife out, it was kind of a, "duh!" moment. The knife is pretty sharp. I won't be doing any whittling with it, but it definitely can cut through a hunk of meat. The spoon and fork and nice sizes and shapes. A nice, sturdy and compact set. ... show more
