This has been running non stop for two and a half weeks, zero issues. Our air conditioner went down right after I installed this on our sun porch. Actually helped cool the rest of our house. Super quiet, you have to walk up to it to make sure it’s running. Outside unit is just as quiet. Installation was a little tough, went through the left side of the unit. Right side would be a breeze. I would definitely recommend this unit.

After the hvac guys who bothered to respond wanted a king's ransom to replace an expired heat pump, I discovered these mini-split inverter heat pump units. One manufacturer, Mr. Cool, has the marketing edge in offering 'pre-charged' units, for a do-it-yourself installation, but they seem overpriced. My first purchase was from Blueridge here on Amazon; they are second manufacturer I've seen offering precharged/diy units, significantly cheaper than Mr. Cool but more than three times as expensive as the Albott products! For my second purchase, I chose one with the cheapest price on Amazon on that day. It looks and functions about the same as the more expensive unit. I spent $500 that time. But my third one, the Albott mini-split was purchased for even less, only $435 in total, after coupon on Amazon. Less than 1/3 of the price of the Blueridge unit and, apparently, a similar warranty. I was a little nervous because I realize that the lowest priced companies here sometimes don't have easily contacted customer service...possible warranty issues...but at least you have the initial, 30 day Amazon guarantee. After two installs, I knew what to do when installing this Albott mini-split. Finally I put the included batteries in the remote and turned it on for the first time, just in time to beat 90+ degree heat - and it didn't work! Shoot! After double checking remote batteries and electrical connections...still nothing. Heck, seemed like a flawed unit already installed! I'd hate to waste that labor, but I did think I might be taking a chance with such a low price and an unknown company. I've heard that circuit boards are sometimes bad and can be replaced...still, I was dreading that. I did not at first see the company's email address at the bottom of the cover page of the installation manual, so I tried to contact them via Amazon...on Saturday, figuring maybe I'd get a reply, if lucky, on Monday. Darned if Albott didn't respond within 24 hrs, on a Sunday! I was happy to inform them that I had discovered an error in the electrical hookup at the source, nothing to do with product, easily fixed - and the unit works perfectly! So, I have two things to tell you: 1. This is a great value. Do not be put off by price. Most of these units are made in the same factories overseas! 2. Albott is a real company that actually responds in a timely manner to customer service requests and questions - their email is [email protected]. This product works well.

Updating 7/26/2025 WIFI USB stick is in the unit however will not connect to WIFI using AC Freedom APP or Net Home Plus. The QR code in the manual has you download AC Freedom also the WIFI instructions via another QR code has the WIFI code. Simply will not connect even with 2.4Ghz enabled with see the WIFI USB stick in the WIFI list. Also tried scanning the QR code on the WIFI stick which returns as invalid. Please post in reviews if you got the WIFI to work. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My Pioneer mini split system died after 8 years so it was time to replace it. Turned to be Amazon prime day week and I was able to get one at $350 new. Pros: Cools very fast with not being very loud. Also came with all the necessary parts to install it (need a HVAC person). Cons: Lack of information on Albott, and I cannot figure out how to get the unit connected to the NetHome Plus app as to the manual. Also per the Amazon description there is no Wifi USB stick. Warranty seems to be seen down the road if an issue occurs. Finally, for the price the unit works as listed and cools extremely fast also would be great if WiFI setup was simple so I can use the mobile and place the remote in a safe place.

Everything came. I had just installed another brands 18k unit at my father's house. That one had precharged lines. It was also priced just over two thousand dollars. I've never worked with HVAC but borrowed a friend's vaccum pump and bought a manifold at a discount tool store and installed this in less than a day. It works better than the 2k unit I installed at my fathers house. Amazing price still can't believe what I paid for it.
