Purchased two of these to install in my home. i was a bit apprehensive to get this model because I would need to pull a vacuum on the lines. Should not have been worried, easy peasy. Purchased a vacuum pump with gauges here on Amazon and followed instructions I got from a couple youtube videos and everything went smooth as silk. Only issue I did have were the videos didn't mention to take the stem out of the yellow hose when pulling the vacuum. Once I did that no more problems. Had to tighten the coolant lines a little because I had a small leak but that was easy also. I had never seen one of these in operation before purchasing and I have to say I am sold. Blows away my central air that was installed. My outside unit had to be replaced 4 times in 20 years. That's only 5 years per unit. Funny, how they all went out at the same time the warranty expired. I had Tranes, Goodmans and one other. outside units were loud and made being by pool way less enjoyable. These mini-splits are quiet and unobtrusive. I put in 4 standalone units just in case I ever had issues I could just switch it out instead of changing out the entire house. At the costs of these mini-splits I can replace all of them and still not come close to the price of replacing my central air. I must say I have learned after doing these myself that hvac guys are way overpaid for what they actually do in my opinion. Charge way too much for the equipment and the install fees also. Then the service calls that seem to never end because the equipment fails constantly. ... show more

Was very skeptical in purchasing this unit as we never heard of the company before. Bought it for our 3 season cottage to replace a window unit. Was delivered much earlier then stated. Outdoor unit was damaged, dented to the point the fan would not spin. Send a photo to the company and they responded within 24 hours. Stated that if the unit would still perform as should they would give us a discount. When told it would not, they said they would ship out a new outdoor unit within 3 to 5 days of address confirmation and do not have to return the other unit. Receive the replacement unit within 4 doors. Was very easy to install and works great. Cools as it should as well as heat up the cottage as it should. When in quiet mode, you would not even know it was on. Still fairly quiet in the normal mode. Looking forward to a very comfortable cottage next season. ... show more

I had a different model mini split that got clogged with sawdust, backed up with water and died. I didn't want to spend another thousand bucks to replace it. I dug around and came across this one and took a chance. The unit arrived in two days in two boxes. I pulled the old unit out and installed this one in about an hour. We've been in a heat wave here in Oklahoma for the last few months. This has been the 3rd hottest summer since 1939 with 45 days over 100 degrees so far. My shop has been cool and comfortable. The death of my old unit was my fault. I never considered the amount of sawdust that was entering the unit until the drainage tube clogged. That was my fault. This time I found some filters that just cling to the top of the unit over the intakes, and I hope with that and better maintenance on my part, this unit will last much longer. It comes with detailed instructions, a remote control (which is very handy since I have it mounted up higher than I can reach without a ladder). It is the perfect size for my small shop and looks great on the wall. I have no complaints at all. ... show more

Great little mini split! I installed it in a single car garage it gets really cold. I love it. I think it could do a two car garage but might not be as cold as in a smaller room. Installation was easy for me because I am very handy. Took only two hours. If you are not too handy You could still do it just do it with patience might take you about 4 hours. The only part you have to be the most careful with is installing the hoses. Make sure they fit in correctly and once you start tightening don’t stop until it’s all the way in. That is the trick! This way no freon leaks. After all like I said I think it a great little mini split for smaller rooms such like bedrooms, offices and single car garages. You could still try in a two car garage it may cold the garage if you seal the garage door really well. I am 100 % satisfied! Oh! And don’t forget to buy the hole saw, pull disconnect box and liquid tight cable extension. About $55 for all. ... show more

This was the second split unit I've installed, both were 12k 110 units. While it does cool well and is quiet, you can tell it's a cheaper unit from the included accessories. For example, the included lineset and cable to power the head unit are thinner gauge copper and higher gauge wire by comparison. The mounting bracket is also thin and easy to bend if your mounting on brick like I am. I needed a longer lineset for the other unit and ended up using the 16' included cable and lineset from the other brand with this unit. The other issue is the remote and app. I still haven't got the unit to connect with the app and the remote isn't great. All that being said, this unit was $300 cheaper and works just as well. I thought about giving it 3 stars, but that doesn't seem fair. It works, it's quiet, and for the pricepoint this is a very good value if you can live with what I listed above. ... show more

For the cost of this unit, I am quite pleased with its performance. It puts out ice cold air conditioning and hot heat. And it was very diy friendly. I installed this in my office of my shop and it’s great along with being super quiet compared to an old window unit I was using. I may consider getting a couple more to add in other areas. I purchased and installed 2 of these units over a month ago and so far so good. When deciding what brand to buy I chose these for the 5/7 yr warranty also customer service has responded to every email I’ve sent within a day Good product w warranty and customer service what more could you ask for at this price? Hope they last for years to come. I ran across 2 small issues going the install. One outdoor unit the small green ground wire wasn’t grounded. And when you use the app on your phone it only displays temp in Celsius which according to customer support cannot be changed at this time but they are working on it. ... show more

If you have any kind of skill when it comes to doing anything, this is very eay to install!!! This was the only one I have ever installed and it took me 2-3 hours max. You do have to vacuum the lines, fortunately I have a friend who had the vacuum and gauges. I have not tried the heat feature yet, but the air is ice cold and cools off the entire back 3 rooms of my house. It extremely quiet, the remote works great and there were no leaks upon install or after. My A/C had been struggling to keep up with the heat, so I turned this on in my back bedroom. I set up 2 fans and blew the air all the way through the house and it worked amazingly! Definitely worth the purchase! ... show more
