The coating on the cross bars is poor and with use they start to look shabby. However the worst part is that the supplied set screws are bare steel - not stainless or aluminum and therefore totally unsuitable for use. Which means they rust immediately and will become hard to remove. Also they cause galvanic corrosion with the Aluminum and the coating then fails around the fixing holes. The bars didn’t extend fully. There was about a 1/4 inch separation between the railings. We screwed it as tight as we could but there is still a bit of separation. It has held so far.
