I absolutely LOVE this chair! So much so, that I bought one for home (red/black) and one for the office (all black). I’m a woman who is 5’ 3” and 200 lbs. I had the hardest time finding pictures with people in them for size comparisons, so I’ve included several pictures. I’ve had back pain for years with standard office chairs and was looking for something that was more adjustable and supportive, which led me to looking at gaming chairs. The AKRacing Core EX-Wide fits like a glove, or perhaps a good pair of jeans. No more back pain! The fabric material is well made, and the padding is supportive, but not too firm. It’s got a steel frame and was extremely easy to assemble. I’m not a fan or the leathery type material and this was one of the few chairs I found that had fabric. I’m glad I went with the wider model. Unless you have a thin frame, just go ahead and order the wide – you’ll be thankful you did! The wheels don’t pivot very well on carpet, so I’m considering swapping those out for the roller blade style wheels, but that’s a minor detail. The arms are plenty adjustable and comfortable. They move up/down, forward/back, and angle left/right. The entire unit also has some give towards or away from the chair by adjusting the screws on the underside of the seat. I thought the price was an absolute steal compared to more expensive models and even other higher end office chairs. More than worth the investment. ... show more

This chair's quality is way above DXRacer, from the fabric to the metal frame. The 10 years warranty was a big plus for me. Pros: - Solid metal frame (with 10 years warranty) - Good quality and breathable fabric (5 years warranty) - Swivels 180 degrees - you can move freely in the office/battle station and wheels won't scratch your floor - Comfortable (needs to be broken in before it gets comfy). Cons: - For being the EX-Wide version, the bucket seat is not long enough for tall people. It should be at least 22 inches, not 19. - Same with the back rest, it should be at least 35 to 36 inches tall. - Pillows are made of the same material as the chair but it's scratchy when it touches your neck (they get softer over time) - The curve of the lumbar support pillow is too aggressive and takes a long time to be broken in (should be a lower profile pillow). Summary: Overall it's an awesome chair with great quality for the price (I bought a second one for my girlfriend cheaper from best buy) but the pillows should be re-designed including better/softer material and the bucket seat should be a couple of inches deeper (at least for the EX-Wide version). Perfect foam density. Not too hard or too soft & hot) Excellent adjustments on the seat and the armrests. It took me 15 minutes to put together: (Snap in the feet, 4 screws for the seat base, pop in the seat post, 3 screws for the hinge covers, & you're done)! The biggest problem with other chairs I've used (in 40 years so far) is the foam is too soft (feels great at first), but you sink down so far it doesn't breath well and gets too hot. I have a mesh back and mesh seat chair for the summer that is cool and breathes well but is way too hard, cuts off circulation and gets painful after an hour or so. This chair foam density is perfect for me, (I'm 6ft, 170lbs) I only sink in an inch or two, so it's firm and comfortable but not hot and sweaty like most others. I did research a few months looking at many others, but this one seemed the best. Bottom Line: this is the best gaming and office chair I've used so far. ... show more

I kept an eye on gamer chairs for a while now and when this one came up on sale, I was like, "gimme!" I didn't put it together, so I can't speak to that specifically though my roommate didn't think it was hard to assemble. It's really comfy and very adjustable, which is good 'coz I'm in my 60s and there are always bits that are are sore. I did end up getting a towel because I was tired of getting fur on my rear when I sat down. As you can see from the picture, my kitty Franklin considers it very comfy. If you sit in any chair long enough, you but is going to get squished. I don't care howmuch you spend. But this chair is great for your back. I have read reviews that this chair is too firm. I wouldn't mind ir it were a little more firm. firm is best for the back and that is why I give this chair 5 stars. I love the pillows. They look silly, but you will love them. It is like a car seat. It even has the level at you side to adjust the back, just like your car seat does. It is scary, but this does recline completely back to a sleeping position without tipping over, and I am big and tall. It is a well built, heavy chair. It will last many years. I can't think of anything negative to say about this chair. I read a lot of reviews and I was willing to pay more, but this chair stood tall. It's affordable as far as chairs go. You don't want to pay any less. A good chair cost money. It is better than buying a cheap and uncomfortable chair at least every year. This chair is cheaper in the long run and way more comfortable. I bought this chair for my dad who needed something more supportive in his office/gaming room. I loved it so much that I bought my own. I don't really use the head rest pillow much but the lumbar support is great. I had to buy some memory foam cushions for the arm rests though cause those were pretty uncomfortable. But I've been using it daily for over a year and it's still holding up really well. I sit up really straight when I'm on my computer no matter what I'm doing and I lean it back a bit if I'm watching or playing a console game on my tv. This chair is great for all day sitting as long as you get up and stretch your legs every once in a while (which you should be doing anyway).
