I am always cold so I need a good heat source in winter! Overall, I am pleased with this heater. I love that it is ready to go straight out of the box. The hardest part about setup is picking where to mount it. The mounting brackets do allow for a lot of flexibility in where it is installed which is nice. I love that it comes with a remote to control it. Anytime I do get togethers outside in the cooler months, we have a fire to keep warm. It makes you reek of campfire smoke and makes me cough. I really wanted another alternative to prevent this, so this heater seemed like a good option. It needs to be in some sort of enclosed (or partially enclosed) space to work well. It's not a bad outdoor heater, the biggest issue was figuring out where and how to hang it, so iit is out of the way and effective at the same time. This is one of those things, when I ordered it, I had the best intentions of putting it into our gazebo, but when I received it, I realized it would not suit the purpose I hoped it would. This has nothing to do with the manufacturing, seller or item, it was all to do with my perception. It would work great on a screened in porch, or lanai, and again the product seems to be good quality and works, and the remote is a great perk. ... show more

    • Warm But I'm Not Sure If It's Heavy Duty Enough
This will be the perfect solution for my cold garage during the winter. I'm looking forward to using it. Never tested it out in my enclosed office area, and he's the room well. However, I am concerned about it being able to heat a non-insulated one-car garage area well enough successfully. It definitely adds some nice heat to the basement wood shop! The cord is flexible and soft and it didn’t get hot or even warm after twenty minutes. Which means it probably just won’t heat up. Getting it mounted on the wall was not a big deal. I think I’m going to make a custom mounting bracket so I can move it around and hang it in different places easily though. I think it’s a pretty good deal around fifty bucks for this little heater. In the ~60F basement, heat can be felt well out to ten feet. Past that it drops off and of course if you're in a cold outdoor shop with lower ambient temperature you'll probably need to be a lot closer. ... show more

This can be used inside or outside. We've used it in both. Now that we have two, this one is used inside the shop full time now. It's already been nice during these colder nights and I'm looking forward to having it in there during the winter. The remote is a nice thing to have as well. Especially if your mounting spot is hard to reach. Easy to mount and set up. Once mounted, ya just plug it in and turn it on. I would recommend this heater. ... show more

The heater arrived nicely packaged as to not damage in transit to me. I was very surprised at how nice it was for the price. It is very lightweight and compact in size. I also liked the fact that it includes a remote to control the amount of heat produced. It has dual settings for different wattage outputs. The mounting system on the back gives you different capabilities in mounting the heater. I got this to put in my garage this winter so I haven't mounted it yet because we've had many 90+ degree days lately. But I did plug it up just to make sure it works and man does this little heater put out the BTU's. I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a supplemental heat source to help heat a bedroom or other area of the house that may be little cooler than the rest of the house on central heat or a heat pump. It will be a great backup heat source but I wouldn't depend on it as a primary source because I am sure it will probably make your electric bill go up drastically. ... show more

My husband had just installed the Akires Wall-mounted Patio Heater 1500watts to our 12x16 feet gazebo. Our weather has been over 100 degrees for the past couple of months and it had just started to cool down a bit, and he’s been updating our backyard. This infrared heater is a nice addition to our gazebo, it is on the side where it will be closest to the person cooking at the BBQ (it can get pretty chilly here in Winter so this will be really nice to have), it should also reach the guests that will be sitting by the bar counter. There is no power outlet yet, but my husband will be finishing pulling new wires for extra outlets in the next couple of days. Update: The electrical has been installed and we have tested the heater, works wonderfully!!! We love it!!! ... show more

This electric wall mount patio heater throws out some nice heat! The included little remote makes it easier to use if it's hard to reach and allows you to set it to High (1500 watt) or Low (600 watt) and to also set an automatic shutoff timer in 1 hr increments.
