  • Helped AC do what it couldn't do alone, huge difference in comfort.
Worked great in conjunction with Camper AC, AC alone couldn't get the Job done, adding this helped circulate and dehumidify made a huge difference. Quiet, conferrable, helped immensely over hot 4th of July weekend Trip.

  • Buy it for the dehumidifer
There are many air purifiers on the market. They come in all sizes and some can even run on batteries. I have a primary air purifier in my living room and a smaller one in my bedroom, but I've long wanted one for the bathroom. I tried running a small battery-powered purifier in the bathroom for several months and that was fine, but I knew I really needed something bigger. When I saw that this device paired a dehumidifer, I was even more convinced that this might be the best product for the bathroom. When my husband takes showers involving shaving, he literally drenches the walls of the bathroom. I'm not sure any dehumidifer would be able to keep up with that kind of shower habit, but anything that could reduce the dampness a bit I figured was worth a try. And I will say that for normal length showers, it does make a bit of a difference. Where I might have previously opened the bathroom door a bit to see myself in the bathroom mirror, now I can usually see myself fairly well without having to crack open the door. I've also been monitoring the humidity leves in my bathroom with a hygrometer and I've noticed that the humidity levels during the day stay more constant. I don't have central air conditiong in my house, so usually during summer the humidity will raise during the day depending on the weather outside. This machine is helping to keep things more stable. I might eventually buy another one and swap it out for the one in the bedroom to help manage humidity there as well. The air purifier is not the quietest I own but it is not excessively loud. It's loud enough that I notice when it has shut off because the water tank is full, which leads me to one my gripe about this device. It does feature auto shut-off when the tank is full and that's great, but I'd prefer that only the humidifier shut off and not the entire device. I try to remember to empty the tank regularly, but I noticed this morning when I went to take my shower that it was off and I assume it shut off during the night as I never heard the beeps that are supposed to sound to let you know it's about to shut off. I would like to have the option to keep the air purifier feature going. The manual does not suggest any way to accomplish this. The purifier is relatively easy to use; the lights on the display are easy to see and decipher (plus there's the manual if you get confused). The filter is easier to access and remove than the one on my Levoit air purifier or my small Airthereal air purifier, both of which open from the bottom and require screwing back in place just right. If you want an air purifier and have use for a dehumidier even some of the time, this might be a good combo to consider. Othewrise, just get an air purifier. ... show more

  • Attractive, compact 2-in-1 air purifier and dehumidifier, and pretty quiet!
This is a sharp-looking, compact, two-in-one air purifier and humidifier. The listing states it serves up to 270 square feet, which will get you any room combination size up to about 16 x 16 feet. It gives small room examples like bathroom, RV, closet, and bedroom, so it’s not a big enough to be effective in larger open spaces. It arrives in a fairly generic product box as it’s probably only meant for online sales. This box isn’t going to present well in a physical store. The unit itself looks fantastic though, with an attractive dark gray design, black tilted face that makes it easier to see than other flat-topped options, and a well-lit touch screen interface. It has a cute fan graphic that spins while it’s on. The fan is relatively quiet in normal mode and the unit has a night mode that lowers the fan by about half. I didn’t find either mode to be overly loud. I have an older, larger air purifier that is quite a bit louder, so to me the noise level is perfectly reasonable for the size and I will replace my old unit with this for the reduced noise alone. The first button is your power button for the air purifier. A second button on the face turns on the dehumidifier function. Of note, you can only have the dehumidifier running simultaneously with the air purifier function and not alone. So the options are air purification only, or both air purifier and dehumidifier running at the same time. The third button gives you pre-programmed timer options of 8, 12, or 24 hours. The fourth button is the aforementioned sleep mode that lowers the fan. The unit has a tank that collects up to 1000 ml of water and shuts off the dehumidifier function when full. It also comes with a short hose if you choose to set it up right next to a sink or outlet for continual draining. One thing I don’t care for aesthetically is that the power cord attaches to the unit on the side. Functionally this is fine as the unit is not meant to be up against a wall anyway, but I just don’t care to see the cord coming out of the side of the unit while forward facing. This design choice was due to the water tank being in the back. Overall, I think this is a fantastic little two-in-one unit. For a small, humid space I think this could be a real lifesaver. I know families in humid states often battle both humidity and mold issues in their homes and I see this being attractive in that sort of scenario, bathrooms that fall short of proper ventilation, and any other situation that requires both a bit of air purification and dehumidification. While you can use it for air purifying alone, you may want to invest in a stronger, dedicated unit if you don’t plan to ever use the dehumidifier. I think this unit shines in situations that require both. If I think of anything else helpful or have any issues with it in the coming days, I will edit my review. ... show more

  • Improved HEAVY air and cleared moisture I didn't even know the room had...
Dude! I started out skeptical that this was doing much. The manual had me second-guessing whether it was even running right. Then I ran it in the bathroom for a couple hours -- and saw a NOTICEABLE difference (and lots of water caught)! PERFORMANCE: The air in my new rental's "remodeled" bathroom was so HEAVY! I had no idea why. The air did feel a lot more humid than the rest of my space, and even heavier than that to breathe. Also, there was a weird sharp smell. Homeowners bandaid a lot of things, in Florida especially it seems. So who knows what the smell is. After running it a couple hours, I went in -- and there was a NOTICEABLE difference in both. I didn't even think the smell could be affected, and wasn't planning for that. The photo shows the amount of water it pulled from the air -- several ounces! And I had the bathroom door only cracked, not sealed in the room, in a tiny bathroom, maybe 4 by 4 feet including the shower. THE MANUAL: This part leaves a lot to the imagination. The description of components is confusing. It states the front of the unit is the air inlet. That tracks -- I can feel slight suction there. Component #7 is described as the air outlet at the top back ... but NO AIR seems to come from here. Instead, I feel it coming from the TOP of the unit -- and only on the right. That's why I thought it wouldn't do much. But fortunately, it really helped. The filter cover instructions are worse. It says to clip the bottom of the cover onto the lower filter port (1), then push toward the main body until it clicks (2). But those numbers don't actually correspond to any part. (1) in the manual is actually the LED display, and (2) in the manual is the touch screen. 🙄 On an unrelated note, the manual recommends placing the filter in direct sunlight regularly to sterilize it, which I thought was interesting. CONTROLS & DRAINAGE: Before seeing the results it got, I honestly wanted it to be more powerful -- or at least offer settings like low, medium, and high. As it stands, there's only one speed. The water hose setup is optional, which is great -- didn't feel like putting anything together. The hose is for longer-term use, like if you're going out of town for the weekend and won't be home to dump the tank. Without the hose, the tank fills up and you dump it manually. BUILD & NOISE: The build feels solid for something this small. And it's SUPER QUIET. In a quiet bathroom it's barely a hush. OVERALL + VALUE: On value, I still feel like it doesn't HAVE to cost $100 to do this. Even still, 5 stars: I was very surprised by the quick results... and the fact that it helped with the weird "remodeling" smell, too. ... show more

  • Quiet And Useful For Small Humid Spaces
So I have been using this for about six weeks in a smaller room where I wanted both air filtration and a little help with humidity. I really like the idea of combining both functions into one compact machine instead of having two separate devices taking up space. The controls are straightforward, and the angled display is easy to see. You can run the air purifier by itself, or turn on the dehumidifier while the purifier is running. The sleep mode lowers the noise and dims the display, and I have had no problem leaving it running nearby. It makes a steady fan sound, although I would still consider it quiet for this type of appliance. The dehumidifier does collect a noticeable amount of water, especially in a smaller enclosed area like a bathroom or closet. It is important to have realistic expectations, though. This is not a heavy-duty machine for drying out a basement or handling severe humidity. It works gradually and seems better suited for maintaining a small space. The included drain hose is helpful if you have somewhere convenient to route it since the tank is not very large. I also like the automatic shutoff because there is no concern about the tank overflowing. My main complaint is that the entire machine shuts down when the tank fills, including the air purifier. I would much rather have the dehumidifier stop while allowing the purifier to continue running. I also wish there were more fan speed options or a humidity setting that could automatically turn the dehumidifier on and off. Overall, this works well for light moisture control and air filtration in a small room. It is compact, easy to move, quiet, and simple to operate. The value feels a little high considering the limited controls and modest dehumidifying power, although combining two useful functions into one machine helps justify some of the cost. I took away one star because it is limited to small spaces, and the purifier cannot remain on after the tank fills. ... show more

  • Air Purifier
I placed this in a smaller room that tends to hold moisture and develop a stale smell when the door stays closed. After running it regularly, the room felt less muggy and the air smelled fresher. It is convenient having air cleaning and moisture removal in one unit instead of finding space for two separate machines. The controls are easy to read, and the unit does not take up much floor space. On lower settings, the sound blends into the background well enough for nighttime use. Higher settings are more noticeable but still sound like steady airflow rather than mechanical rattling. The water tank is simple to remove, though I carry it carefully because it can slosh when close to full. This is better suited to a bedroom, bathroom, office, or similarly sized area than a huge open floor plan. I also make sure there is space around the intake instead of pushing it tightly against a wall. The change has been most noticeable in the morning, when the room no longer has that heavy, closed-up feeling. ... show more

  • Does not work well as a dehumidifier
This item should not be considered a two in one as it does not dehumidify adequately. Our home was at 70% humidity (old house in the deep south), we ran it all night and it didn't even feel the tank an 1/8th. Returning and advising everyone that if you're looking for a dehumidifier, this ain't it.

  • Works well!
I’ve been really happy with this air purifier and dehumidifier combo. It’s so nice having one compact unit that can both help clean the air and reduce excess moisture instead of needing two separate appliances. It’s been a great fit for a smaller room and doesn’t take up much space. The unit is quiet enough to run without being distracting, and I like the simple controls and auto shutoff feature. It feels well made, and it’s easy to move from room to room when needed. The dehumidifier function is a great bonus, especially in humid areas where you want to keep the air feeling more comfortable. Overall, this is a convenient, space-saving appliance that does exactly what I was looking for. If you need an air purifier but also deal with humidity, I think the combination makes this a great value and a worthwhile addition to your home. ... show more
