The Air King 20-inch 2,140 CFM 3-speed box fan emits a cool breeze perfect for shops, dormitories, offices, and homes. The 1/25 HP motor keeps the whole room temperate and features low-, medium-, and high-speeds for optimal control. On high speed, the he airflow measures 2140 CFM, on medium it is 1740, and on low it is 1300. As an another feature, the single-phase motor is fully enclosed for long-lasting, quiet performance that is operated by a top-mounted rotary switch. Additionally, this fan boasts maintenance-free permanent lubrication and a permanent split capacitor, as well as two 120-volt outlets to allow the connection of other appliances and tools. Impact- resistant grills protect the blades to ensure long-lasting durability. Style: Air King Box Fan
I use these for an air filter box for woodworking, so maybe my use case doesn't apply to most others. These are so much more heavy duty than my previous fans. The motor strength and air flow is noticeable. I don't get any bogging down when pulling air through air filters with wood chips filling them up. They have metal frames that don't deflect which reasonable weigh on them. They do make a lot of noise, and they pull a good deal of power. If you put this on a power strip with other tools going at the same time, then you will need a higher amp power strip with a reset button on it if you trip a breaker/overload a fuse. It is exactly what I wanted for my shop, and the $50ish price tag seems well worth it. It is a bargain compared to some of the circular heavy duty fans on the market that costs over $100 depending on what you're using it for. ... show more

Style: Air King Box Fan
The king of box fans, moving an average of 20% more airflow than other box fan on the market today. It's affordable, fairly well built, and "blows away" the closest competition for moving some serious air. It's not quiet though, that's really the only major downside worth mentioning. For shop use, probably not an issue, but be aware before purchasing. This fan is loud. However, if you are feeling frisky, you can replace the original cheap plastic blade with a metal Lasko blade. This will drastically reduce the noise output level while pushing some serious CFM output. Worth the small investment IMO, especially if using the fan indoors. Note: Fan motors are installed using only two screws mounted diagonally to the frame braces. There are actually four mounting points for the motor. To add more stability and reduce vibrations, you can install two more screws. 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5.0. ... show more

Thought I was purchasing a new product, but the label on the package clearly states Returned Merchandise. I don't even know if it made it back to an Amazon warehouse for an inspection before being re-packaged. It's only day 1 so I can't speak to longevity, but I purchased this to compare with a Lasko Cyclone Power Air Circulator that I picked up at Target. TLDR; the Lasko works better for my use (in an apartment), but I do like the Air King. I live in AZ and I'm working at home due to the COVID pandemic. I'm home almost all the time and it's currently July. 2nd story apartment with concrete/brick walls, a large kitchen/dining/living space with a high vaulted ceiling, and no ceiling fans. There are only 3 air vents in the entire apartment and they pump out ice cold air, but there's just not enough coming out. AC runs 24/7 at the lowest setting and the temperature averages 82-84 °F from about 10am until 2am. Blinds and windows are closed almost all the time. I need something to help circulate air, that I can run while watching TV, cooking, sleeping, etc. I purchased the Air King to circulate air through the large living space. It does this very well, but there are some draw backs. 1) It's loud. There are 3 speed settings, whereas the Lasko has 4. The Air King on high moves more air, but it's louder on all settings. As far as volume is concerned, the Air King on 2 is about the same as the Lasko on 4. 2) As expeced, it's industrial. I believe it will last a long time and take a beating in this heat, unfortunately, it's missing one small detail. There are no feet, so if it's set on a slippery surface the fan speed will slowly move this across the surface. I thought I would leave it on a TV tray table at the end of the room to get it off the ground, but it vibrates right off. I will need sticky tape or friction pads. 3) Compared to the Lasko, there's no features. No remote, no digital timer, and there is no base that allows you to tilt it. I knew this when I purchased it and I'm indifferent to the lack of digital controls - I was excited to plug this into a smart outlet so I could control it with Google. Unfortunately, after using it these missing features make a big difference - especially the lack of tilt. Ignoring the Air King's speed setting of 3, the Lasko feels like it's pushing out a similar amount of air, does so with less noise, can be tilted (or wall mounted), and has a remote. On the highest settings the Air King noticably pushes more air. Both box fans push far more air than my standard oscillating fan. If I was using this in a garage, on a worksite, or outside, I'd take the Air King every time because it feels much more durable and pushes more air on high. That being said, to circulate air in a large, hot, AZ apartment I'll take the Lasko every time. The features and noise are a good trade-off for the slightly reduced air flow. ... show more

This fan is awesome for anyone who likes a loud fan to help drown out background noise! The airflow is amazing—it really moves air around the room and keeps things cool even on the lowest setting. The sound is that perfect steady hum that’s great for sleeping or blocking out noise from outside. It feels sturdy and well-built compared to cheaper plastic fans, and the three speed options give plenty of flexibility. Style: Air King Box Fan
I bought this to replace a less expensive window fan that lasted maybe a year and I couldn't be happier. I was looking for something made in the USA, which this is, and I love it. It's not quiet, but it's not loud for the wrong reasons either. It's louder than many fans simply because air in motion makes a sound and this thing moves a lot of air. There are no mechanical noises. The motor is quiet, the fan blades are balanced, and the bearings are silent. Any sound is simply a reflection of it's superior ability to move air. It's built well. The frame is metal which I am a huge fan of, pun intended. I was hesitant at first due to the price. After all, I could have gotten 2 cheap knockoffs for the same price, but I've done that enough times to know better. I'm tired of having to replace junk products every year or 2. I'd rather buy a good product once and have it last. I couldn't be more pleased. ... show more
