If you want quiet then this isn’t for you, it is very loud but does cool & dehumidify - all be it excessively. Have this draining into a gallon container - have to keep an eye on it, for where I am from it is humid in the summer and lots of condensation flows into my container.

The unit is well constructed, has a nice aesthetic and provides the expected cooling to a small room fast. The thermostat works properly, and everything can be controlled from the remote control. I am happy with the unit and will keep it since the price is affordable for 12,000 BTU a/c and it does the job. However, don't expect it to be quiet. It's pretty noisy and having it in your bedroom could disrupt your sleep. The window installation is not difficult but requires some extra insulation material to cover the openings. Finally, I am unhappy with the fact that a 12-month payment plan was offered, but not honored at the end, causing me to dispute the full amount that Amazon is charging me. ... show more

We received the product in time, it says you have to leave it standing for 24 hours before use it. Installation wasn't difficult. We tried it in a small room just to see how much it would cool it down. Worked really well. It's a little bit noisy. Now we will wait for summer and see how good it will perform. 🤞 ... show more

I am overall very happy with this purchase. It can be a bit loud but it easily cools a room down with little effort. The only issue I had was he had to wait 24 hours before first use. If they had offered a bit of an explanation as why it would have made it less painful. A google search mentioned it was to allow the oil to fully return to its appropriate place after shipping.     • Horrible does not cool at all
We tried to give this time to work and unfortunately gave it too much time and now we are out of our return window and I’m stuck with an expensive white box that does not cool what so ever. Please don’t waste your money purchase a different brand. We were using this for a 400sq foot bedroom in Florida so there is no reason it should not have worked except it just failed to do so. The one we had prior worked for 5 years perfect we purchased it at Home Depot. This one I thought I would give it a chance but I should not have it does not drop the temperature at all and continuely runs. Do NOT waste your money. ... show more

I've only had it for 2 days, but it seems to work well. I did have trouble getting the exhaust vent into the window plate because the bottom of the plate sits below the level of the window frame. So as you can see in the photo, I put a block of foam under the window plate and that lifted it up for a better connection and allowed the plate to adjust slightly more freely so that there were no leaks.
