    • Looks don't keep us warm
Nice looking unit but looks don't heat the room. This heater arrived quickly and in mint condition. Set-up is about as simple as it can get - slide on the two legs, flip it over, plug it in and (expect) to get warm. The operation is (to me) a bit confusing at first, but once you grasp the way it's set up, it was good. For the first month to six weeks it did work. The heat output was much lower than I expected, but it did the job well enough that I was okay with it. I thought it was odd that I had the thermostat set to ninety-five degrees but it never got so hot that I couldn't lay my hand on top of it. Well, after six weeks or so, the exterior temperature in our area got high enough for several days where the heater wasn't needed. I left it turned on but lowered the thermostat setting on the heater to 80 because we need the temperature to stay above 74 in our living room due to a tropical exotic bird who has it's home in our living room. It is not good for this bird to get chilled. Then the outside temperature dropped again to near freezing. This is when I noticed a problem with the heater. The room temperature one morning when I initially came into the living room was at 60. I checked the heater and it was "ice cold" even though it was on and the thermostat was still at 80 degrees. I turned it off, waited a moment, turned it back on, waited for thirty minutes or so and checked it again. Still cold. I contacted the seller through Amazon Customer Service. After I refused to send them a video of my issues as they requested, (I asked how I was to make a video of a heater that doesn't work), they informed me they would refund 80% of the purchase price and asked if that would be acceptable. They told me to discard the heater as it would not be feasible to return it as I had offered since they had sold out of this model. I told them "no", that I expected a 100% refund because it had a one year warranty and it failed after less than three months. Ultimately, Amazon stepped in and I did promptly receive the full purchase price in my refund. I just did a quick check and this exact heater is still listed as available on 04/02/25, AND at a lower price than I paid for it. Am I going to order one? NOT A CHANCE! I'm going to spend a few extra dollars and buy one made in America (if I can find one). ... show more

Works good easy to use and set up. Heat is out on my central unit and this with 3 other space heaters at least keep my house above freezing even trying to heat 2900 sq ft

The controls are very confusing and it keeps shutting off it claims that it is about 25° warmer on the thermostat on the side than it is in the room. The only way to keep it on, is set it for the max temperature of 90 degrees and it will only run for about 15 minutes and shut itself off in a 13 x 20 room is still 65° inside ... show more

This heater is very aggravating to use. It doesn’t just have low medium and high. It’s got some sort of extra temp control that you can’t figure out and the instructions aren’t clear. Not made for big rooms like it says . My room is 14x20 and I still need extra heater. It stops heating for no reason I wake up to freezing room. ... show more

This item I didn’t like at all , it cuts off when it wants to . The room will still be cold as ever. You didn’t feel The heat unless you stand over top of it .
