Assuming the non-replaceable LEDs don't die in some short period of time... I really like this light. The light color is perfect for a hallway, stairwell, or living room. Maybe in a bathroom you'd want a whiter light (if that's your thing). It's metal, which is great for rental properties like my ADU... I've already ran things into it and it wasn't damaged like a glass light probably would have been. The light output is perfect for my use case (top of a stair well) and covers the wall up and down with light as you see in the photo. It's designed so mounting screws are not seen from the bottom (they're up top) and it's easy to install in any light fixture box. Probably could attach it to an outlet/switch box just as easily. The mounting plate is thick metal, too, which is wonderful... strong mounting is a good thing. Only downside is the attached connection wiring is (1) aluminum, (2) thin gauge, and (3) a wee bit short... hard to hold up the light and connect weak/thin aluminum wires at the same time. Got it done, though. Oh, the white color is a nice pasty flat white... not a glossy or overly bright toilet-like white. ... show more

I keep seeing bad reviews with mounting. It's so easy! On one side of the new light, in the center. You will see 2 screws that removes the metal mounting bracket on new light. Take this bracket off the new light first thing. If you're mounting to an old standard setup. It should have a circular mounting plate in the wall from the old light. Screw the plate you took off the new light into the mounting plate already in wall. Now take your new light, line up the 2 holes in the center of new light with old light mounting bracket. You will need 2 - 1 inch long screws. Fyi. The 2 screws from your old light setup should work. So to simplify this. You just need to mount the bracket first to the wall, which is held by 2 screws in the center of new light. Once the new bracket is mounted to old. Then take new light, attach new wires and just line up the 2 screw holes from where you removed bracket from new light. ... show more

everything works great and looks great. the build quality is fine. HOWEVER, they could of used a better diffuser or put the diffuser strip further away from the LED... it's ok if you don't look under it, but if you look under it, you'll notice each the LED dots.
