I'm a new pool owner and a tech geek. I first looked into this device as I wanted a wireless pool cleaner since I don't like having cables around but initial reviews were not that good given the limitations due to the battery charge. So I went for a wired robot and bought the Dolphin Sigma based on reviews and the fact it was supposed to be the best on the market. After using the Dolphin twice I ended up returning it as the cable (supposedly tangle free) was a pain to manage as it is very stiff and would take me 10 minutes to properly fold after each use. I then decided to go with my original choice and bought this device. It is an amazing piece of tech: lightweight and well built. Knowing the limitations of battery operated devices will set your expectations right from the beginning. Rather than setting it up to do both floor and walls at the same time (risking it to run out of juice before finishing up the job), just run the floor first, recharge and do the walls/waterline. It has been running for over an hour and my pool floor is super clean. Still have a few pieces of dirt around the corners but we'll see if it gets those once it is done. When cleaning the floor, it goes up to the wall doing a 90 degrees as if it was about to climb the wall but then backs up. In doing so, it went on a step and got stuck for 20 seconds before finding its way by itself. Overall really happy with this robot and at this price (half the price of the Dolphin) it's well worth it. With the money I saved I ended up buying the Betta SE solar skimmer so I don't have to bother skimming with the net and don't have the kids complaining of bugs in the pool! 1 week update: so after a week of use I am still happy with the robot but found its drawbacks. I have a sun-shelf with 2 stairs. This thing can’t clean neither of them. When I start with the sun-shelf it will stay on it for a minute or so then roams on the stairs and gets stuck for a few minutes. It eventually finds its way to the floor of the pool but will not go back on the shelf or stairs. Overall still happy but a bit disappointed it is not smart enough to do that. ... show more

Very nice product, charges in less that an hour and runs almost 3 hours, really amazing. Had it for 2 weeks, saves so much times and cleans really good. I wish filter basket would be higher grade for maximum cleanless, thats why i have 4 stars, otherwise would be 5 stars for sure.

Very happy with this guy. He does a great job on our pool despite being in a very hot, sunny and treed area. I like that it has a rubber vacuum wheel, he picks up stuff while also kind if brushing. Between him and our solar guy who drives around and skims the top, we have very little work on the daily. He is a bit heavy, but both my husband and I can manage him solo though. My husband is strong (so that is expected), me not so much, but I can wrestle him out if need be. ... show more

Update, I was wrong, this unit picks up more than I expected. I try to take out anything very large just in case to avoid it getting stuck though my lawn guy leaves the pool quite dirty and this little unit picks up quite a bit. Someone was correct it did fracture on the inside on one side a little but it did not affect performance and it was not actually full broken plastic just an inside fracture that I guess happens. Anyways just in case, I requested a replacement. The manufacturer/Amazon replaced it right away. I honestly love this little unit so worth it and helpful. PREVIOUS REVIEW: I will say it does not look like much suction is going on though somehow with it's crazy pattern it cleans the pool. The pattern mines came with makes no sense and have not spent the time to figure out the wheel change though it was there more than 1 hour and completely cleaned it. Now if your pool is full of large leaves, rocksc etc, take those out 1st. Once your pool is descent and you need maintenance cleaning such as dirt in the bottom of the pool that settles, small leaves, sand this is perfect for that bottom dark dirt and sand. This is not a heavy duty high suction item though for the price, no cord and simple, it does the job. Others with higher suction would regularly get stuck anyways. You will only need to brush the stairs and the back sitting area and as long as you use this 3 times a week or more if you like. If you keep your chemicals under control, the walls will not need brushing. I am thinking of spending a little more for one of their highest model that does wall climbing but the more I have used this thing is not worth the extra money for now. It does cut your work by 80%. No cords which I love and super attractive unit and super easy to clean. Just open 4 clips and hose the inside once you remove the filter and snap it back together. Leave it to dry and charger again. I run it at night, turn on the pool light since it says not to run when the pump is on. Leave and take it out later. It brings a hook to take it out of the water and to put it in, I just turn it on right on top of the water at the lower level and carefully drop it in. The old vacuums(had 3 before going cordless)were always attached because it was harder to connect and disconnect. In addition it was often stuck depending on the pump setting that made it go or stop. This one is the easiest thing to use. Anyone can set it up. If you notice it does not go on for one hour or more, you probably need clean it because it happened to me the 1st time when the pool was dirtier. As maintenance it I would say it probably goes more than 1 hour and cleans my whole pool when before I always had to clean an area here and there, specially the corners. ... show more
