The glossy black finish of the unit, while sleek and modern, is unfortunately not very scratch-resistant. After it got stuck for a short period behind the pool stairs, it sustained some visible scuffs. I got this charger to replace a previous AIPER seagull pool vacuum charger which took forever to charge. I didn’t know if it was the vacuums problem or was it the charger. The vacuum wouldn’t finish charging with my previous one. As soon as I used the replacement, the solid blue light came on the vacuum after about 3 hours signaling that charging has completed. Now I know there is nothing wrong with my vacuum cleaner. Works just like new now. Charger works just as expected. Good product.

This charger is exactly the same as the one comes with the Seagull machine in the original package. I am glad that they sell accessories with decent price. The cable is quite long, so I don't have to carry the machine close to the power outlet or have extra power strips to connect electricity from my house to the yard. It's usually hard for find a general-purpose charger with this socket. Using nonofficial chargers may risk damaging the machine. So, buy this official one.
