Features

  • Smart Navigation & Route Optimization Built-in intelligent sensors create a logical cleaning route based on your pool's contours. It methodically covers the entire floor, handling freeform and uneven surfaces with ease
  • Waterline Scrub 2 Inches Higher Unlike conventional cleaners that go up and down, this unit travels laterally along the waterline at a consistent 5 ft/min, focusing its cleaning action in a single continuous sweep. It reaches 2 inches above the water's edge to eliminate scum rings, sunscreen residue, and pollen lines often left behind
  • Auto-Docking & Smart Notifications After the cleaning cycle, the robot automatically ascends and waits at the waterline for 10 minutes. An alert is sent to your smartphone, letting you know exactly when it's ready to be picked up
  • Dual-Stage Ultra-Fine Filtration Choose between two filter levels: a 180-micron mesh that captures leaves and bigger debris, and a replaceable 3-micron ultra-fine insert that locks in dust, sand, and microscopic particles. The result is noticeably clearer water after every run
  • Lightweight Design, Heavy-Duty Performance (18 lbs) Weighing just 18 lbs, it can be lifted with one hand, yet generates enough suction to collect leaves, sand, and fine dirt in one go. Dual brushes mean more area covered with fewer passes
  • Smart App Control & Scheduling The companion app gives you remote access to battery level, cleaning logs, and robot status. You can set weekly cleaning plans or change modes right from your phoneno separate remote needed. Please note: live app control is not supported while the robot is underwater and cleaning
  • Extended Battery Life Up to 240 Minutes in ECO Mode In ECO mode, enjoy up to 4 hours of quiet operation for routine upkeep. Standard modes provide ample power to complete a thorough deep clean on one charge
  • Durable Construction & Reliable Support Made with long-lasting materials and backed by a helpful customer service team. Built for dependable performance season after season

  • Excellent cleaning product for our pool
We love this pool vacuum. It cleans our whole pool. Charges fast, cleans bottom and scrubs the sides and waterline. I got a kick watching it climb the walls the first couple of times. It is very easy to use out of the box. Customer service with Aiper is top notch.

  • Effective Pool Cleaner, Climbs Walls Really Well!
I use a robotic pool cleaner as a supplement to my hard-wired Polaris cleaner and also to clean a hot tub attached to my swimming pool. This new Aiper Scuba S3 excels at those duties. My next door neighbor has Crepe Myrtle trees planted along our fence line and if you know anything about these trees, they are the gift that keeps on giving. If the wind is right, these trees dump an enormous amount of leaves, blooms, seeds and pods into my pool at various times of the year. Keeping the pool water crystal clear and free of debris is a challenge with these trees. Combined with my Polaris, this Aiper robot makes the task a lot easier. The Aiper was easy to setup. It came well packaged and partially charged. Quick start instructions are provided and I was up and running in no time. I connected it to my iPhone as instructed and was able to view the battery charge indicator and manage pool cleaning through the app. Once the cleaner is submersed though, the phone app is pretty much useless since it gets disconnected from the robot. I did get an "auto docking" retrieval notification once on my phone and the cleaner was waiting for me at the top of the pool wall. This is a really useful feature. Unfortunately, I have not seen this notification since and I always find the cleaner at the bottom of the pool. As far as cleaning, the Scuba 3 excels at keeping the pool free of debris. I have watched it repeatedly over the course of a month and it does a fantastic job of climbing walls and cleaning the waterline. With the extended battery time, it effectively cleans all areas of my inground pool. This unit has a push button control to turn it on or off and to select the cleaning function. I actually prefer the dial knob which is on other older models of Aiper cleaners such as the Seagull Pro. The push button takes longer to turn the unit on or off. The filter basket is adequate but limited of course due to the size of the cleaner. When there's a lot of debris in the pool I have to empty the basket several times during a cleaning session. It comes with a replaceable "ultra-fine filter" which really does pick up a lot of pollen and smaller particles really well. I take it off and wash it in the kitchen sink. As of the writing of this review, I could not find where to buy a replacement filter. It wasn't even on Aiper's website. If the Aiper Scuba S3 has a weakness, it's the retrieval handle. First, it should be a lighter color than the body of the unit so I can easily see where to place the hook when trying to fish it out of the water. Second, it needs to be reinforced more. When taking the unit out of the water, it is very heavy until all the water drains out. I heard a slight stress cracking noise when removing it from the water the other day. Hopefully, over time the handle will not crack or break. Overall, I'm very pleased with the new Aiper Scuba S3. It seems to be a well made unit with very good cleaning ability. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are welcomed features. The unit is costly, but worth it in my opinion. ... show more

  • Aggressive waterline scrubbing, 3-Micron fine finishing, Multi-sensor increases maintenance burden
As someone who manages multiple pools I've tested many different Aiper pool robots. I got the Aiper Scuba S3 and had an immediate issue with one of the sensors. The factory quickly remedied the issue for me, and it's working fine now. But the issue got me thinking that although this S3 has an impressive number of features and sensors, I've never had an issue with their benchmark model, the good ole reliable but fairly basic Scuba S1. I would say the same sentiment applies to just about anything -- cars, appliances, etc. The more features you stack on, I always expect an increased maintenance burden. So I would say the same thing applies to pool robots -- the S3 is a good match for early adopters, tech-inclined people, and those willing to accept the tradeoff of added features with an increased risk of more time performing maintenance or sending to the repair shop. For those interested in basic performance without advanced features, a simpler unit may be a better match. It has so many features it's difficult to cover them all. So I will assess it's basic/core features, and then highlight some of the standout advanced features. I should say this does a great job of basic cleaning, from large items (whole leaves, bugs, etc) to fine silt and sand. It is designed for inground pools, due to the wall climbing. But I tried it in an above-ground pool with reinforced walls and it did just fine climbing the walls. This does not float or skim -- only the higher end Aipers (like Pro Max) do that. This one has three core features -- floor cleaning, wall cleaning, and waterline scrubbing. The last feature -- waterline scrubbing -- is one of the most important yet most overlooked features because the waterline is where all the grime builds up (oils, etc). The floor and walls have debris like leaves and algae that any vacuum, pool robot, or even manual pool brush can pick up. But the waterline is the stubborn part that requires the most scrubbing and labor in my experience. A standout feature of the S3 is that it doesn't just climb the wall and hit the waterline -- it goes slightly up and out of the water, and then wiggles back and forth as it scrubs. It has dual foam rollers that are aggressive enough to lift the grime, but gentle enough on vinyl liners. I should add that many other mid- and upper-tier Aiper models also do this style of cleaning, not just the S3. But it's an important feature for anyone looking for time and labor savings. Another standout feature is the dual filtration, but with a word of caution. Most robots have just one filter basket, but the S3 includes a second "finishing" basket for fine debris. The main filter is 180μm but the fine filter is 3μm, so that none of the sand or fine silt can escape back out. However, importantly, you should pay close attention to the manual on how to appropriately the fine filter (3μm). It should not be used for general cleaning, it should only be used for finishing, and it should only be used for short periods of time. Leaving the fine filter in for general cleaning could clog things up and potentially damage the unit. Finally, I'll point out the app control. It alerts you when the cycle is done and you can retrieve the unit -- it floats for 20 minutes or so as it waits for you to retrieve it. The app also tracks your cleaning cycle, allows you to select the cleaning mode, etc. But please note two things. First, the app doesn't work while the unit is underwater -- the signal doesn't go through water. Second, the app is not necessary to operate the unit -- the onboard controls allow you to turn it on and choose the cleaning mode. I think it's a good value for those interested in higher tech pool robots. ... show more

  • A powerful cordless robotic pool vacuum
If you're looking to automate pool maintenance without dealing with tangled hoses, this is a very impressive cordless cleaner. Suction's great, it easily vacuums up silt, sand, and heavy organic debris from pool floors. The waterline scrubbing mode, which tracks sideways along the tile line to break up scum rings and oil buildup rather than just making quick vertical passes works surprisingly well. Intelligent path planning gives full coverage without wandering aimlessly, and the auto-park feature brings the unit up near the edge when the battery runs down for easy retrieval. For a high-suction, cord-free pool cleaner that keeps both floors and waterlines spotless, it's a fantastic investment. ... show more
