Simple but reasonably well made. Seems to have sufficient power when I used to cut 6" dried hardwood.. Battery seems well made. The included chain is not very sharp and can jerk the saw if cutting hard dried wood. The jerking seems to loosen the chain tension. Chain OK when sawing fresh cut softer wood . The no-tool knob tensioning system requires considerable force to maintain setting. Bought an Oregon S45 chain (12",.325 pitch, 45 links, 0.050 gauge ) that fits perfect on the .059" groove bar. Much improved cutting on dry hardwoods and doesn't jerk the saw which helps keep proper chain tension. ... show more

    • Handy for the smaller stuff, and runs quietly well
My daughter and I are using this to trim away Wisteria vines off the trees on our Alabama property. Also for trimming back 2-3" branches of hardwoods to clear space. It's being used to reduce the time of hacking away a lot of overgrown woody land. Wood trimming 4" or bigger is better left to a 20-22" chainsaw. Pros: Lightweight, easy to assemble and adjust, can be taken apart easily to clean. Battery for ease of use. Cons: getting the chain adjusted correctly is a bit daunting, it keeps popping off the track,. We are a little confused about how to tell if we have over or under tightened the tension since we aren't seeming to get it right. Battery could last a bit longer, or it should be packed with two batteries to ensure you can finish a job in under an hour. Otherwise, its a great product overall. I am really impressed with how easy this is to cut a log. This was a recently wind fallen tree which I cut up using my Aiper battery powered chain saw. It was easy to use, the battery came charged so all I had to do was install the chain, load it with chain oil and I was ready to go. One of the best parts was how quiet this is. I used this on Sunday, where there is a noise ordinance in our community, but you can barely hear this running. I just used eye protection and gloves, but no hearing protection needed. So easy to put the battery in and start cutting. Maintence free except for adding oil and wiping off chain after use. Not powerful so theres no kickback but cut this pile of limbs into fireplace length pieces in 20 minutes without recharging. None of the limbs were fresh they were all a year old. Cut one log that was 8 inches in diameter with no problem. Lightweight sturdy and cuts well. Put a quarter inch of oil in for this job. Like the window that shows oil level. Easy to asssemble just attach chain and bar. No tool needed. Had to tighten chain after 10 minutes probably just because its new but only took a few seconds. Let sit 24 hours after use and no oil seeped out the bottom. Love everything about it even the price. Would take a while to cut up an entire tree but its so convenient. Also like the safety features. Black handle is the brake have to pull it back before saw will run. Then theres a button you have to push before you can squeeze the trigger. Very easy to work with. ... show more

Lets just say i bought this because of the battery. It holds twice the power of competitors, charges in half the time, and cost half the price for an extra battery. It did not disappoint. Used it to clear my 4 wheeler trails and never even swapped out the battery. I cut down at least a dozen trees and several stumps. It's light enough that I can work for a long time and not sweat. And the lack of vibration is great. Not to mention I can carry on a conversation with my buddies while I work. Works as well maybe better than any gas saw of it's size. My husband immediately opened the package and used it. It's really Light Weight.Very simple and convenient to use.We use it to cut the long wood in our house so that we can make a shelf by ourselves. The serrations are sharp, nothing worse than industrial chainsaws. It is cost-effective!

The booklet offers no help. Instruction is riddled with missing information, like, how to attach and adjust the chain. I will say this not a buy, just get a nice, light, gas one.
