For anyone with a motorcycle this is a great addon. There is no easier way bring Android Auto or Apple Car Play to your motorcycle. The setup is easy. The connectivity is through Bluetooth with your phone. The screen is of good size with good viewing angles. As with most electronic devices it is a little hard to view when the sun is shining directly on it but it is still readable. The integration with the BMW wonder wheel is great. The build quality is excellent. For the money is is a great value and a must have addition.

Basically, plug it into the BMW Navigation cradle, pair with your phone and headset and ride. It was that easy. Wonder Wheel compatibility is excellent. The wheel controls took a few minutes to get acquainted with, but not too long. Paired immediately with my Cardo headset, so I can control everything via Siri/Carplay through my Cardo helmet microphone (Phone, Nav. Music, Texts, etc.) So you don't have to lift a finger off the bars or even look down to use this thing. Packaging was exceptional (think Apple iPhone) and included a fairly good manual, stickers and a key chain. Unit feels solid, very well made, despite the odd brand name that would suggest otherwise. Expensive, but once you start using it, feel it in your hand and see the crystal clear display, you can see why. Worth it.

I picked up the AIO-5 BMW for my 2024 1250GSA to replace my lackluster carpuride I got last year and also to get something that works with my bmw R1300R. Out of the box it’s much better built than others. Better feel and quality instantly. No opinions on the mounting since it goes right into the bmw gps cradle. The screen is nice, higher res and clear. The connection to your phone method is very unclear. There is no Bluetooth connection menu or anything. You just have “trust the process “ while tapping the CarPlay icon. It puts out a Chigee Bluetooth SSID and it connects. Along as you connect to the plain Chigee 1957 ssid, which is slow to show up. After a reboot if connects very quickly and seems reliable so far. My issue at the moment is the internal GPS. There are 2 gps sources for this unit. The screen mirroring from your phones gps apps …..and the internal chigee gps for riding metrics. The internal gps is very slow. My garmin gets a signal in under a minute. Chigee says it can take 3-10 minutes after a “cold start” to acquire gps signals. So far it only acquires a signal half the time. But if I reboot the chigee it’ll magically acquire gps since signal again. As a CarPlay unit it’s great for both music , podcasts and app based gps. For riding metrics and non CarPlay use….its okay. The live data from the bikes canbus connection is 5 seconds behind the GSs TFT. Being only marginally better than the carpuride, it’s a little pricey. Especially when for the same amount of money you can get a garmin. Which while it doesn't have CarPlay, but it can beat the chigee unit for real navigation without even trying. Overall it’s a nice unit but it’s only marginally better than others. And for real gps use stick with a garmin.

Part of me feels like this is over priced for what it is, but it is plug and play for the BMWs which is slick. Overall, I still think it’s worth it. And would buy it again if I needed. No problems setting it up and pairing it to my phone. Solid build quality. Unsurprisingly, it fits well in my 2021 K1600 Grand America. The K1600 bikes are a little goofy with the integration and need the dongle, fwiw. My biggest gripe is that I can’t see this type of screen if I wear my polarized sunglasses.

I am using AIO-5 Play for BMW on my 2019 BMW R1250RT motorcycle. What works well: The unit fits in the NAV slot (where I had my Motorrad Navigator VI) installed. The unit powers on automatically when I turn on the bike, and turns off 10 seconds after I turn the bike off. The unit can read all the data from my bike, tire pressure, fuel level, rpm, engine temp, several other stats. Installation was as easy as it can get. I popped out my Motorrad Navigator VI, and put the AIO-5 Play. It fits just right and you cannot tell without carefully inspecting that this is not the Navigator VI. After powering on for the first time the device asked me to connect to WiFi (I have very good WiFi signal in the garage), which I did. The unit activated itself in a minute or so and then it prompted to update itself, which it did and rebooted. Then I paired my iPhone with the unit and the Apple CarPlay just worked without any fiddling needed. I just followed the prompts on my phone and the unit. I also have a second phone (Android) - which was also easy to setup for Android Auto. As recommended I kept my phone paired with my Cardo unit and Apple Music, navigation audio prompts, Siri all work seamlessly with audio and mic from my Cardo unit and the display on the AIO-5 unit. I have a very good (Peak Design Qi 2) phone mount with wireless charging installed on the handlebar. So I am going to continue using it. What doesn't work? The Wonderwheel does not work at all. I could not figure out how to use it. It is not important for me. So I didn't try much.

First some gripes. Smaller actual display than OEM BMW GPS with same form factor. Screen glare noticeably worse than OEM GPS, which has a great screen. Touch screen with gloves is not reliable...works as often as it doesn't. One of the bike's trip meters is missing when this device is connected. Overall: Though Android Auto is at times handy, I don't find myself using this device; perhaps if I commuted or rode in the city (I don't) this would make more sense. For the kind of riding I do (touring and long distance with planned routing, and riding purely for fun), the BMW unit is better. YMMV

It's truly plug and play! Works without any weird set ups. Displays are fun and contain lots of information but a lot is duplicated.... except using the navigation Andriod Auto which is awesome. Plus checking on texts etc mid ride is useful so I don't miss anything important. Screen is clear. Connected to my phone seamlessly. It's a little quirky in places but nothing to put me off. Much better value than BMW Garmin.
