Seems to be quite sturdy and assembly was no problem. Assembly took about an hour for one person, helps if you have a 13mm socket and ratchet however a set of 4 high quality wrenches is included for assembly which surprised me. The great thing about this hoop is that it will adjust from about 4' to 6' if you assemble using only two poles which allows for upright storage in the standard garage. Removing 4 bolts allows you to add the third pole after which the hoop adjusts from about 7' to the standard 10' (rim height, not to the top of the backboard). The adjustment lever works flawlessly and even my 8 yr old can make the adjustment with a bit of effort. Seems to roll quite easily filled with water (I added the base gel which was a good addition). All in all this is a great purchase with regard to overall quality, ease of assembly and adjustability. Looking forward to a lot of fun with the family on the court.. ... show more

Instructions don’t tell you where parts are. Had to find hidden parts under the base. Base seems like it’s gonna break if moved too much. Instructions lack washer placement and tightness on bolts n nuts. Looks nice when done. Easy to move up and down. Last step of putting on rim was hard. Needs two and put poles on hoop side so it’s easier to mount. ... show more

Relatively easy to put together. Took my husband and I about an hour. Hasn’t blown over 😆 we have 3 sand bags on it and despite a few fierce windstorms, it has held strong.

Bought the Aimking Portable Basketball Hoop for my Grandkids to use. It's well built and provides a great way to play basketball without having a permanent structure attached to the house or a permanent pole concreted in the yard. Its a bit heavy to move around so the kids can't do it by themselves, they need an adult to move it. You tip it over to move on two wheels attached to the counterweight tank while the adult holds and pulls the backboard end. The bottom counterweight tank leaks water when you tip the unit over to move it anywhere. The tank plug is not water tight. If you want to make any adjustment to the rim height this also requires an adult. This process is a bit time consuming but fortunately I've convince the kids to "set it and forget it" - playball! ... show more

Took us 2 hrs to assemble but the manual was easy to follow. all the parts are labeled. we did get a broken part when we first opened the package so we contacted the seller and they sent us a replacement for that part 2 wks later.

Bought this for my kids for Easter. Received the box and the tape was old and faded and the box was open from the deterioration of the tape and one end was ripped open but still closed enough. Went to put this together with my Autistic son, who was very disappointed and upset, when we started to realize we were missing some major parts. In all, we were missing 6 major components to build it! I took a picture of all of the missing parts. Yeah, not just a bolt or two, whole pipes and the lever system! Beyond disappointing and quite angry. A lot of money and all the hassle to repackage, taping it better than received, and hauling a very heavy box to get shipped back. So, that’s why it gets 0 stars, but I’m forced to choose 1. ... show more

The instructions were decent. For the most part, I as able to assemble myself, even though I had to be innovative. As a 54-yr-old woman, that tells me that most should be able to assemble. What is a disappointment is the backboard arrived with several scratches and a little chip in it. I think it will be okay, but that’s not what I paid for. Wrapping the backboard and poles in plastic and putting in the same box without foam insulators is stupid. The bag that held the hardware was so cheesy that one piece of hardware punched through. I took pictures of the multiple scratches on the backboard. The nylon hoop netting was also separating while installing. That should never happen. ... show more
