    • Awesome little airstone housing
I originally bought this to use on a DIY CO2 system but eventually gave up on the idea. If you're going to use this as a diffuser for something like that you just need to plug the little hole in on the top of the bell(not the airline hose fitting) with a little dab of silicone. I did however end up using this on a hospital tank for my betta. I wanted to get more oxygen in the water for him, since he wasn't moving from the ground, and didn't like that a plain airstone was causing water to spit out from my uncovered tank. It kept the water contained and created nice tiny bubbles, much like from a CO2 diffuser, that would be more likely to dissolve into the water. On top of that, now that my betta is feeling better he really likes to rest on the suction cups and wait for his food. So even though I'm not using it right now, I've left it in for him because it's pretty adorable when he's perched on it. ... show more

Exactly what I needed. You do have to be gentle with the glass pipe in the center. that piece seems very fragile. Handle very gently with patience.

So far it works as it should. I was able to use take of my 2-piece air stones and place it on the end of the air outlet. A lot cleaner look than a typical air stone and air tubing. Will update if I have any issues. Link to air stones at bottom of this review. I also ordered the JARDLI version. Compared to the JARDLI, thinner glass and in turn feels more fragile. Appearance in the tank is the same, and they function alike. If you are careful, this is a perfect substitute that functions in the exact same manner. I need this. Having the regular air stone or air pipe sprayed salt all over the place and just made it look horrible. Plus all the cleaning up was a pain. And the fish were honestly kind of nervous to be around it, shooting bubbles everywhere. But this is great! It can be put in the corner and the fish ignore it which I love. No mess to clean up. You do want to be careful putting it together bc it's glass and you're using your hands. Just run hot water over the tubing and suction cups and gentle push then on. You don't have to shove the hoses all the way on or you'll probably break it. Less is more. ... show more

Use your own tubing. The stuff that comes with it is new and Not super flexible. If you use your own pre-used tubes it will work better and it’s super easy. The nozzle on the inside looks sensitive and easy to break so just be careful. I’m pretty clumsy and I was careful and didn’t break it and it’s working out great. ... show more

This product is very fragile. Super thin glass. I went to attach the air stone to the inside cannula and it snapped in 2. Thank god I was not cut by the glass! So I really do not know how it looks while working. Be careful. The glass is easily broken!!!
