    • Exactly what we needed to protect our furbabies
I have two standard poodles that continuously dug under or jumped over the 5' fence, nothing we did stopped them and they'd disappear for hours while we searched for them. We live in the country with coyotes, stray dogs/cats, and a bobcat, we're also about 2.5 miles from a main highway, so I needed to keep my furbabies safe. I finally, reluctantly, decided to put up an electric fence to protect them. The first day, we sat outside with them, after we easily and quickly installed these electric fence synthetic rubber gate handles, electric fence posts, upgraded electric fence polywire, and electric fence energizer, they tried yet again to get out of the yard. They got zapped, yelped, and haven't tried to get out of the yard in two months. FYI, Hubby and I both tried it first to be sure it wouldn't harm them, it was a jolt, but we all survived lol. I am taking to social media because this company is a joke an absolute disgrace to an AMERICAN made product We used this product less than 5 months and it quit working The AC/DC adapter quit working so we bought a new one and that was only one issue the inside of the product was completely CORRODED!!!! so of course it's past the time to return, so we reached out to the company...... NO PHONE NUMBER, so emailed and NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING, the email goes no where or if it does they just don't respond A WASTE of MONEY, I have never been so livid DO NOT BUY do not buy from this company they are a joke ... show more

    • Cheap but works
So I have a electric fence around my Bee hivee because I live in the woods in PA. So because of that we have a lot of black bear, raccoons and other pest that have tried or have gotten near my hives. I have this energizer hooked to a 12V Solar battery with has a solar panel and NOTHING so far has gotten to my hives. I have a cell game camera on hives so I can see if anything messes with or walks by. So far this energizer has stopped 1 racoon and 2 black bear. So would I recommend this product, YES and definitely for the price. ... show more

    • Great fence charger!!
This fence charger is great. Works great to keep our pigs from roaming to the neighbors. Works well with chickens, ducks, and dogs. Keeps them in the designated areas and out of trouble. Also keeps unwanted creatures out of the designated areas.

I just installed this and have some initial comments. Before connecting it to my fence, I bench tested it with a cheapo fence tester, the one with the series of lights. This tester maxes out at about 7500v. With no load, the AgriOtter lit up all the tester lights really bright and made a nice loud snapping sound. I then went to install my fence and ground leads and realized that the unit has really short threaded posts and the threaded knobs are not threaded all the way to the end. Meaning that unless you are using flat ring connectors, you won't be able to connect your leads. I ended up opening the unit and replacing the really short M8 bolts with longer ones so that I could connect my leads to the posts. Once connected, my tester was reading about 5000v at the fence and I'm happy with that. Time will tell how long this unit will survive. Pros: Small 110v AC or 12V DC Comes with 12V AC adapter as well as 12V lead with alligator clips for use with car battery Comes with small ground wire and small hot wire with roach clip Assorted mounting hardware and small grounding stakes Cons: Quiet. Some may see this as a pro, but personally, I like my fencer to make noise so I can tell it's working. You can barely hear a ticking sound when it's on Indicator light is very faint. With every pulse, the light flashes but you can barely see it. Like with the clicking, there's not much to tell if it's working ... show more

    • Keeps the dogs at Bay
We use this as a dog pen enforcement and it's been working great. It only takes two or three shocks before. The dogs really don't want to go test the fence or dig underneath it. Very glad my dogs are safe. Good value for the money. Seems sturdy. Appears to be good quality. Very easy to install.

    • Warning! There is no AgriOtter!!
Major disappointment! It didn't last a week. I advise anyone thinking of buying any AgriOtter product to sign on to their web sight. I went on the AgriOtter.com page in search of product support. When I clicked "Contact Us" I received "404 Page Not Found" message. So much for any customer support. I looked around the web sight and found it interesting that all the electric fence energizers are sold out. I wish I had gone on their company web sight before I bought this crappy product. Of course the Amazon Return Window is closed. ... show more

    • Easy to set up and use
I really like the ease of installing this controller. It comes with paper instructions that are easy to understand. A lot of other energizers are extremely difficult to get working due to grounding issues and poor instructions. But in the case of my device it was simple to set up and is very effective. I would definitely recommend it for livestock control. 10 out of 10 ... show more
