Got this fence to put along our woodline to keep our dogs in and then got a prettier metal fence off Amazon that uses stakes as the poles that you can do yourself for the seeable fence from the road. A regular chain link fence was quoted at $6,000 but with the way we did it, it was only $1,400. Just had to get little pegs/stakes to put in the ground throughout so little dog couldn’t go under. I purchased this since I’m in a rental and the fancy dog fence was too expensive. Painted it black and can hardly see it. Just be careful when unhooking the roll, it lets loose fast!

This fence would never hold an animal. The metal used to make this fence is soft and bendy . NOT at all strong. The spacing at the bottom is much larger than it appears. My fat cat got through the bottom squares. GOOD THING I ONLY BOUGHT IT FOR AROUND MY GARDEN! I bought 3 to go Around my yard to keep the dog from wandering. Hahaha this would never hold a dog, let alone a cow, unless you put posts every 3 feet Hahahahahah

I’ve read the reviews and didn’t expect heavy cattle fencing like others did for the price, but I’m using this on my garden to keep animals out. I’ll be fastening it to locust posts. This will be perfect. 4ftx164ft for $145 is a deal compared to big box stores. The packaging utterly sucks and was torn apart on arrival on both ends. Cardboard boxes alone can’t handle the 40+ pounds of weight plus the sharp edges of the fence. It should be secured in plastic or foam so the metal don’t wear out the box and the box should be taped and secured to where the item does not roll around. Due to bad packaging the top of the fencing has some bends that’ll have to be straightened out during placement. With that being said I’m happy with my purchase and will be getting more eventually. Just do better packaging and it’ll be much better on arrival. Edit: I got the fence up and even on the uneven ground on my hill this fence was malleable enough to get it in the position I needed without have to cut and re-angle it. With the top strand of barb wire added no deer will get in. Awesome deal!

The fencing is cheap, which means that it sags badly without significant tension to keep it fully upright. The problem is that, to get that kind of tightness, you'd have to put a fair amount of horizontal tension -- and since the wiring is soft, that means bending the metal. It gets looking unsightly fast, since you have to choose between sagging, bent metal, or lots of posts. The product listing also fails to mention the fence sizing. The square gaps are about 5x5. Big, only useful for large game.
