I got this for the spreader that matches the model. I found out that it seems to clump up the grass seed. I had to reach in and pull the darn thing out. Not what I thought would happen with brand new seed.

I bought my spreader initially to broadcast about 200 # of Grass seed. When I tried it for fertilizer, I kept getting clumps stuck. This should definitely remedy that problem. Good value

Product used to spread fertilizer, lime and lawn seed. Was worried about stability so had machinist friend fabricate axel extenders - wheel base stretched to 38" (as measured from outside edge of tires). Problem: no matter how I adjusted the parts could not get the chute to close completely. That's a bothersome defect. ... show more

A simple grate like this one , should be STANDARD in All spreaders to prevent / minimize “bridging “ in all granular products being spread.
