This daybed is beautiful. Was packed well for shipping. Boxes had a few dings but pieces were wrapped and protected by foam. Very easy to put together. Instructions seemed slim at first glance but were simple to follow. You will definitely need at least two people to assemble. The selling point on this bed for me was that it is real wood and not MDF. Makes it strong and sturdy. The only questionable piece is the backboard. It doesn't have a center brace so the backboard moves when leaned against. Will probably attach my own brace for better stability. The two drawers underneath are on wheels and slide easily even on thicker carpet. Drawer size is very spacious. One drawer can hold at least two fluffy standard size pillows. Very good quality. The bed came with 3 big boxes. All of them were wrapped very well with no scratches on the wood pieces. It took me (a not very handy female) and my 2 kids (3rd and 4th graders) about 1 hour to assemble the bed. Another 30 minutes for myself to put together the drawers. Power tools are definitely needed to drill the several screws on the base boards. The bed seems sturdy. The 2 drawers are huge. I love that they have wheels to be rolled out individually. I looked for daybeds for months and kept coming back to this one. The deciding factor for me is that it is made from real wood. It arrived in three different boxes, all of which were very heavy so I needed someone to bring them inside for me. I ended up putting this together by myself, mostly because I am impatient and did not want to wait for my husband or son to be home to help. It took me at least 5 or 6 hours over a couple days to assemble the whole thing, including the drawers, but I did take my time and had to come up with ways to support the pieces while I installed the bolts and screws. I am disabled, so I think that anyone with some strength and stamina could do it in a much shorter time. The drawers did give me a bit of a hard time because the drawer bottom pieces didn’t line up exactly in the slots when both sides were already installed, so I just removed one side, inserted the bottom pieces then lined the second side up and installed. I did variate from the directions, but it worked without me having to call anyone for help. The only downside I can see to this is that after adding a gel topper to the mattress, you lose most of the arched daybed back, making it look very short in the back. It fits one 7” twin mattress beautifully without the topper, but until I replace this mattress with a new one, it will have to do because this mattress needs the gel topper. I love the way this turned out! This fit perfectly in a small space. The bed is well made, and easy to assemble. You do need two people for assembly though. The drawers give me the extra storage I needed for this area. I would highly recommend this day bed to anyone.

This bed turned out really cute! It’s too bad the drawers were cracked and had imperfections in several spots. It wasn’t done during shipping. Must be from factory. Tried to return but they want me to return the whole bed! No thanks! Drawers are put together during final step.

As mid-80s folks, we found the daybed easy to assemble, although we had to ask for help to support the back piece so we could complete the assembly. We are pleased that the unit is well supported and likely will be more than adequate for our needs with the stated weight limit of 600 pounds.
