Description

Product description Aerolatte’s Professional Steam-Free Milk Frother aerates milk into a thick, rich foamy beverage in a jiff without the need for electricity. The matching Counter Stand stores the Frother conveniently nearby. Frothed milk is fun and easy to make with very little effort. The frother is easy for everyone to use, requires no electricity, and is more compact and economical than espresso machines. Easily froth all types of milk, from whole, skim or goat milk, to hemp, almond, soy, cashew, coconut, and other non dairy milk. Simply measure chilled or warmed milk into a mug or glass. Submerge the whisk end of the frother, then press and hold the power button to create a creamy, silky froth on top, about 30-60 seconds or until desired consistency is achieved. Serve and enjoy. Add flavorings before frothing, if desired. It makes afternoon snack time more fun and is a great addition to coffee accessories to transform fresh-brewed coffee into specialty coffee drinks. Great for cappuccino, cafe au latte, caramel macchiato, mocha, Irish coffee or iced coffee. Elevate hot chocolate from ordinary to extraordinary or finish craft cocktails with panache. Made from 18/8 stainless steel that’s lead, cadmium, phthalates, and BPA free to be Prop 65 compliant, Aerolatte’s Milk Frother with Counter Stand is durable, versatile, and easy to use. Hand wash the frother’s whisk end in warm, soapy water. Set includes Milk Frother with matching counter stand and batteries. Whip up an easy after-dinner cappuccino for guests with this steam-free frother with stand from Aerolatte. The frother foams skim, whole, and soy milk alike for fluffy hot café lattes or cold chocolate malts in seconds. (Frothing water-based powdered milk is not recommended.) The frother features a sleek chrome body with a slender 18/8 stainless-steel whisk, designed for optimum foaming efficiency, and is compact for easy travel. Two installed AA batteries power the whisk as it froths milk up to 60 degrees C. For best results, turn on the frother with whisk placed near the base of the mug and slowly raise and lower the unit as foam develops. Foam forms in only 15 to 20 seconds. To avoid splatters, turn the frother off before removing from the beverage. The included chrome stand holds the frother secure while protecting the whisk wand with a sturdy, circular base and two sets of arms that fit snug around the frother body. To clean the frother, run the whisk in hot soapy water and rinse. Wipe the body with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the frother in water or place in the dishwasher. Aerolatte offers a five-year guarantee against defective parts or craftsmanship for this product. The frother measures 8-3/4 inches long, and weighs 1 pound upon shipping.

  • Mr. Coffee, Bodum and the Aerolatte.
Style: Satin Finish Frother
The Mr. Coffee Milk Frother , BODUM Schiuma Milk Whip and Aerolatte Milk Frother appear to be the 3 most popular milk frothers in the under $20 range. I've had all three and currently have two remaining. The Bodum died after 2 months. All run on 2 AA batteries. Regardless of which one you decide, don't set your expectations too high as all three have drawbacks. I was quite pleased with the Bodum Schiuma. As far as torque, the Bodum appears to be the best of the three. I was able to whip up a good amount of froth when mixing up to 10-oz of milk. So if cappuccinos are your thing, then the Bodum is a strong contender. Although inconveniently placed on the top, the Bodum has a real on/off switch. Inconvenient meaning it's slightly tough to get to turn off. Many time this will result in you accidentally lifting the frother from the milk resulting in milk flying everywhere. As far as reliability, I can't give the Bodum a good rating. It died after 2 months of use. Now needing another frother and not wanting to wait for one to come through the mail, I purchased the Mr. Coffee frother from one of those big box stores for $10. Compared to the Bodum and Aerolatte, the Mr. Coffee finishes a distant third. The Mr. Coffee will polish the milk nicely and produce a very nice micro-film. If Lattes or Macchiatos are your drinks of choice, the Mr. Coffee will do the job as both drinks call for little foam. However, expect to whip up enough milk for one drink at a time. The Mr. Coffee begins to bog down when trying to mix up more than 4-oz of milk. At 8-oz, the Mr. Coffee can't cut the mustard. It will take a good 60-80 seconds to produce an acceptable polish and little foam. At more than 8-oz of milk, the Mr. Coffee is totally worthless. Also, that big on/off switch is nothing more than a cheap contact switch, and it's very, very touchy. If the wind blows, the frother starts. Many times this means it starts when you don't intend it to and like the Bodum, you get a milk shower. Now wanting something to move more volume, I ordered the Aerolatte through Amazon. If the Aerolatte had the Bodums torque, it would be the overall best of the three. Unfortunately, the torque is just slightly less. At 4-oz of milk, the Aerolatte will quickly polish and create a nice micro-foam. With a few seconds more and no effort, it will produce a thicker foam for those cappuccinos. At 8-oz, the Aerolatte struggles just slightly at the start but quickly rebounds. Count on mixing for at least 60-seconds before getting a high volume of cappuccino style foam. But even at that, results are inconsistent. On one try I might get good volume, and the next, poor volume. So 7-oz is about the maximum amount the Aerolatte can handle and produce acceptable results. In my honest opinion, all three frothers are poorly made. Only the Aerolatte has any feel of quality, and even that isn't much to write home about. I've been itching to try another Bodum due to the impressive torque, but have held off as I want to leave the battery operated department and move to an electric mixing stick with a frother attachment. Currently, I'm using Ni-Cad batteries in both my remaining frothers to insure maximum charge as a small drop in battery power greatly affects performance. If you're considering any of these frothers, then you also need to seriously consider buying rechargeable batteries and a charger. However, by the time you add up the costs for all of this stuff, you may just want to consider a mixing stick. 120 volts of electric versus 3 volts of battery power is a huge difference, especially if you're going to be making more than two drinks. ... show more

  • Ok, but more expensive than other brands for same level of quality
Style: Satin Finish Frother
Included with the frother are the instructions and 2 AA batteries. The included batteries are not great, so I replaced them with rechargeable batteries that seem to give it more power and work better. Regardless, frothers, in general, will go through batteries fairly quickly. First one arrived broken with the whisk refusing to stay in the handle and goes flying out when turned on, which gives me some pause to the overall durability and quality of this one, especially considering its price. Fortunately, the second one arrived intact, so fingers crossed, I will see if this one holds up or if not whether the brand backs its 2 to 5-year warranty. It isn’t quite clear what exactly the warranty is or how to get warranty service on the Aerolatte webpage. I have used several different brands of frothers with some being more powerful than others, some with only one speed and some that are better quality than others. Most recently, using the Ozeri branded one until the motor stopped working. This is the first Aerolatte brand I have tried. I never really knew how useful a frother was until I tried one years ago. I found it not only to be useful for making fancy coffee but Chai tea among other things. Quality wise, this frother seems a bit cheaper made than the Ozeri brand, which was not available at the time I was looking to replace the broken one. The handle looks like it is either made of a cheap metal or plastic versus the solid metal Ozeri handle. I have a similar complaint with this one as I do with some other brands with the whisk being not detachable. I also think that this brand is a bit pricey considering there are a number of other cheaper brands or brands that give you more for the money, such as including a stand or pitcher. This frother includes none of that. The frother’s handle is comfortable and being plastic light weight, although has a cheaper feel and look to it. One complaint with my broken Ozeri was the button location at the end of the handle that was too easy to accidentally switch off. This one has the handle located mid-handle with a slide button that locks into position. The frother has only one speed. The included batteries fit in easily at the end of the handle and the way to put them inside is clearly marked. This frother seems ok so far, although how long it lasts remains to be seen. The motor is fairly powerful and pretty quiet, although not as powerful as others I have used previously. Cleaning is made more difficult with the non-detachable frothing wand. You have to be careful not to get the mechanism wet, which should not be an issue. Why this is not detachable, I don’t understand, not only because of cleaning, but also if the wand breaks, then that is it for this frother. 3 stars ... show more

  • Good product
Style: Satin Finish Frother
Important: Use 2% milk. The results are not good with my usual 1% milk! There are other good frothers if you want rechargeable batteries. Otherwise, this is probably a good one. I am not sure because I made the mistake of using 1% milk which I later found out is a problem.

  • Not a good choice
Style: Satin Finish Frother
Purchased Feb 2023, goes thru batteries fast and I am the only coffee drinker in the home. One cup in the morning should not make this thing drain the battery so fast.
