The canopy has been up for 9 months now. It's pretty durable for CA west coast weather. The tarp cover fits the structure great and there are many tie-down grommets. The tarp withstood winds up to 60mph surprisingly. The structural pipes are fairly thin and may not support a lot of weight but that's not what they're meant for anyways. If the canopy is tied down securely, it should stand for a long time, like a few years. With that said, my canopy did get damaged in a recent storm but it was because I didn't secure it down enough. Regardless, the seller and the customer service representative, Milka, sent me free replacement parts. I only had to cover shipping. I had previously purchased a three vertical legs per side with the same dimensions as this, secured to blacktop driveway and the vertical poles bent and canopy caved onto car. This product has a higher quality in pole stability and more important - FOUR LEGS per side for stronger support. I absolutely love this canopy. I’ve had it up for about going on two years this summer converted it to a full building pretty much with gutter runnin off the side the galvanized steel is sturdy I weigh 180 and can do pull ups off it cheap way to get a 10x20 for under 1000$ tarps are durable the Only bad thing about it is it’s the tie downs are cheap And the grommet holes could use better securing multiple are about ripped to last thread The cannopy covering would not go on where the poles clicked into the hole I had to slide every one in as far as it would go and as self tap it so it would stay no big problem help stay very solid I seen fly 10 foot in the air and still stayed together not even as far as bend in the steel that when I anchored it the wall tho then it could go through a freaking 45mph wind Th ... show more

When the packages arrived, I was taken aback by the rough condition/appearance of both shipping boxes. It appeared as though the boxes were not new and had been opened and then re-taped back together on more than one occasion. The unit I received had several damaged pieces and some of the identifying stickers were worn and difficult to read which gave me the impression that some of the support leg pieces were not new. Additionally, the website description and the brochure that came with the unit described two totally different products. The website says the unit is used to protect outdoor vehicles/equipment however the brochure states that the unit "is for temporary use" and suggests taking the unit down during a storm which totally defeats the purpose of buying an as advertised carport/garage/shelter to protect a vehicle from outdoor elements. If these 2 points were listed on the website, I never would have purchased. Immediately, I started the Amazon return process. Per the instructions, I printed out the form, put it in the box and took it to a local, remote UPS shipping site. The two boxes were heavy and the freight cost to ship the unit back to E-Deck was rather expensive. When I contacted E-Deck to let them know I was shipping the unit back because the website and brochure descriptions were very different, they responded by stating that they could not include everything in their website description and that they only accepted return items if their unit was proven to be faulty. They then refused to reimburse me for the return shipping costs! So I do not have the unit and I have been stiffed on the return shipping costs. Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about taking down a garage that's protecting a vehicle each time there's a storm! Or maybe I could purchase a better quality unit from another company to put over E-Decks garage to protect theirs from a storm. I am a long term Amazon customer and I've been tremendously satisfied with everything and every company I've dealt with.....except for E-Deck! ... show more

I’ve had the original tent for a few years now and it has outlasted all four seasons, BBQ parties, and several strong storms. Through all of those it never even developed a leak. When I first purchased it, the tent was used to provide protection from the New England winter for a fishing boat, sometimes having over a foot of snow sit on the canopy without taking any damage. Unfortunately, this past fall (after selling the boat) I decided to pack the canopy away in my shed. Soon after an army of mice moved in, found a way into the bin I hoped would protect the canopy from any critters, and found it to be the perfect nesting material. I reached out to customer support who quickly and painlessly helped me replace the canopy rather than have to buy a new frame too. For a very reasonable price, the shipped me out a new canopy. If I manage to properly store it I imagine it will last many years! ... show more

This canopy has worked great for my back porch for the past 4 years. It's stood up to very strong wind, and very seldom would move around (I used 30lb sandbags for weight on the legs). It's a strong canopy, and the provided tarp has worked very well and held up to the elements.
