I was kioking to replace my outlet jacket for an exterior set of plugs. I was looking forward to installing this one since there are cutouts that allow you to keep things plugged in while keeping rain out. Great feature. Unfortunately this is much deeper box than I need so I can't use it unless I try to modify the depth by cutting out some of the back. I'll have to order a different shallower box but still 5 star rating on this product as it has great features including a smoked transparent cover as well as an opaque white cover if you prefer. The smoky gray transparent one comes installed. There's also some gasket material to go.under the lip of the box to create a tight seal and prevent water pr moisture from getting in. I just didn't know the depth of my existing outlet box so that's my fault. However, this is a quality exterior outlet box.

When this electrical box was delivered, the packaging was intact. This kit includes everything you need for installation, but you will need to purchase the outlet separately. To my surprise, they also included a white replacement cover, even if the transparent one breaks, I can replace it immediately. The depth of this box is sufficient to accommodate various outlets and plugs. The manual is very clear and easy to understand; even as a newcomer, I was able to install it according to the instructions. I spent about 25 minutes installing it, I installed it on the exterior wall of my house. It offers excellent protection against rain and dust. I have used it through some heavy rain, and it has kept everything inside dry and secure. The build quality is solid and durable, and the material feels robust, ensuring it can withstand outdoor conditions. I believe its material should be able to endure this winter well.
