  • Adorrgon HD 12x42 Binoculars with Large Bright View and Accessories
Color: Dark Green
As an avid birdwatcher, I look forward to the transition from winter to spring when birds begin to return, adding life and color to the landscape. This year, I decided to look for a new pair of binoculars for my hobby. I opted for the Adorrgon 12x42 HD Binoculars. The 12x42 HD magnification and large objective lenses lived up to the promise, offering clearer and more detailed images than I expected at this price point. Even on early mornings and late evenings, when the light is dim, these binoculars still manage to bring the vibrant colors and delicate movements of the birds into sharp focus thanks to their BAK-4 prism and multi-coated lens. This feature alone has made this pair of binoculars a perfect choice for bird watching, allowing me to observe wildlife with bright clarity. The binoculars have a rubber armor coating that not only provides a comfortable grip but also adds a layer of protection. The central focus wheel and diopter adjustment knob are intuitive, making it easy for me to quickly adjust the focus and accommodate my eye differences without missing a beat. The Adorrgon HD Binoculars strike a good balance between quality and affordability, making them a great option for both seasoned birdwatchers and those new to the hobby. While I might have initially been drawn to these binoculars by the need to replace an older pair, their clear low-light vision have made them a favorite tool in my bird watching hobby. Included with the binoculars are a few accessories: a carrying case, a neck strap, a cleaning wipe, and a lens protection cover, a camera mount and a mini tripod. all of which have proven to be quite useful. The carrying case is lightweight yet sturdy, providing a convenient and safe way to transport the binoculars when I’m heading out. The case also makes storage easier when the binoculars are not in use, keeping them dust-free and ready for the next outing. The neck strap makes it comfortable to wear the binoculars, so they’re ready to grab them to catch a glimpse of a rare bird. These binoculars have helped improve my bird watching this season and I would highly recommend them for anyone who needs a solid pair of binoculars for their bird watching! ... show more

  • Budget Binoculars; Good Value for the Price
Color: Dark Green
I am an amateur wildlife photographer; I was interested in these binoculars to keep in the car to quickly see if something I thought I saw was actually there upon closer inspection. For that purpose, I don't really need the finest optics money can buy. First off, understand that these are budget binoculars; they are not particularly high-powered; they don't have image stabilization, and they have a bit of purple fringing. Higher-end binoculars are much more expensive than these. On the other hand, the build quality is pretty solid, and the image quality is not bad at all considering the price. I have a pretty significant difference in eyesight from my left eye to my right eye, and these binoculars between the two adjustments were able to dial me in pretty good. There are a bunch of reviews posted, so I won't repeat those. But a few points: 01. It comes with a pretty good strap. Also, "Bikini style" rear lens caps. When you attach the strap to the body of the binoculars, also run the strap through one side of the rear lens caps so that they will be captured in use and you don't have to worry about losing them. The front lens caps just pop off and hand down, so they don't have to be completely removed in use. 02. The instructions don't clarify, so when you look at the binoculars it is not immediately obvious where the tripod adaptor goes. Look at the pictures I posted. There is a little cap in between the two front elements that screws off to reveal the threaded hole where the adaptor screws in. 03. The little tripod that comes in the package is fairly useless. The pressure fitting that is supposed to hold the ball head stable doesn't really work under the weight of the binoculars and a cell phone, so if you intend to use the cell phone attachment, you will need to use a much more robust tripod. I thought the cell phone holder was a bit gimmicky, but it does work (see the picture) although it is a bit fiddly to set up and would be for static shots only. I suppose if you have a robust enough video tripod you could swing it around to different points, but on the other hand, if you had such a tripod you wouldn't be messing around with a cell phone attached to budget binoculars. 04. I attached a cell phone picture taken with the binoculars. It is actually not bad for what would basically be what photographers call a "record shot," i.e. a photo minimally good enough to be able to identify the bird in question. I'm a little skeptical about how much practical value it would have out in the field since it is relatively fiddly to set up, and not easily moved after set up. All in all these binoculars are a good value for a budget optic under $100 and would be just fine for hobbyist birdwatchers and nature hikers. Unless you need higher power, and image stabilization for more specific requirements, I'm not sure there is any point in spending any more money than what these cost. ... show more

  • Much better than expected.
Color: Dark Green
I was expecting a very cheap poor quality pair of binoculars. Well I won't compare them with my $2,000.00 pair of Swarovski binoculars... actually I will compare them to my Swarovskis. Not as good by any means.... But.. These really are a nice quality set. Optics are very good for the price you pay. We always wanted a good second set of binoculars that we could just keep in the car for everyday use, not worrying about them getting damaged, but something good enough to not be frustrating to use, these surely fit that bill. I was also very skeptical abut the cell phone attachment, But after playing around a bit found it very usefull It does take a little playing around to get it set up and all aligned, and is really only usefull if viewing a fixed point. Three pictures Fist one straight photo with phone , object that binoculars will focus on is highlighted by the arrow Second one, Phone took photo thru binoculars, no zoom used, unedited Third photo, phone took photo thru binoculars, and also used zoom feature on phone. I could have gotten the binoculars in better focus, but it was below freezing and I was not a patient as I should have been, but I was impressed that the phones zoom worked as well as it did. I did have to use the timer feature on the phone because it was zoomed in so much that I could not trigger the phone with out some serious movement. The little tripod was pretty sturdy, everything balanced on it nicely, but really no panning ability, you can adjust it in all directions but really can't pan with it. For that you would need a geared pan and tilt head. Again, very impressed with the optic quality ... show more
