Size: 11 Color: Team Away Grey/Castlerock
The size chart says these are 28mm long. That's incorrect, according to my measurement and that of another buyer who measured his own size 11s and answered my posted question. He measured 32mm from heel to toe, same as what I measured when my pair arrived. I don't know why the size chart says 28mm. 4 mm is a big discrepancy. These 608V5s (or whatever the whole model number is) replace a pair of 608V2s (size 10) that I bought 10 yrs ago. Those measure 32mm long. So apparently a size 10 from 10 yrs ago is the same length as a current size 11. They are different model # shoes, but still, why such a size difference? Thanks to the other buyer, I ordered a size larger than I otherwise would have, saving me the trouble of returning a pair of size 10s that, in my view, would not have been true to size compared to past purchases. ... show more

I'm a delivery driver so I'm on my feet & walking on various surfaces while working. These shoes are comfortable and don't slip on restaurant floors for the most part. Once in a while you'll hit something that is slick so I'd say about 95+% effective. They are not "non-slip" on ice & snow (just so you know.) Mine lasted about a year & a half. have gone thru 3 pairs of New Balance 619 in grey during the past few years but suddenly I could not find that model in that color when I recently needed it. A few did turn up online but at really high prices. Then I found this model, which seems to be almost exactly like the 619 except a bit less tall around the ankle. Thought I would need to exchange but decided against it, would need an expert to assist with this call. Fit is either too small or just perfectly right with barely a 1/16th of an inch to spare. So I a going to keep them and learn from this . Thought possibly as you get older physical features may change. As I am in my 70's (and show no signs of wearing out) I am suprised to see that things in general aren't shrinking yet (wink, wink). I’m a woman, needed something with better grip while I recover from a hip replacement. We live in Minnesota, where it gets wet, icy, snowy during the winter months, and my son had a fit when he noticed how little grip women’s shoes have. He took me straight to the men’s department at Kohl’s, where we figured out what size I need. They didn’t have this pair in white, though, so I ordered them on Amazon, where they were $2 cheaper. A side benefit of these shoes is that I have a couple of damaged toenails growing out. This shoe has more room in the toe box, so it’s lots more comfortable. My husband has to help me put on my shoes and socks for now. He’s way happier with these shoes than with my others cuz they go on more easily.
