These anvil pruners are fantastic! I have purchased several pruners over the years to replace my favorite Fiskars anvil pruners that I had used for over twenty years. None measured up until now. These work as intended... there is less strain on the hands, and they cut cleanly. They don't seem very sturdy, however, since they have a lot of plastic in the construction. Since the price is not bad, I suggest handling and storing them with care. Otherwise, satisfactory.

The shears worked extremely well, and cut our time of pruning roses and Vitek bushes in half. My wife has arthritis in her hands and was able to use these to cut flowers with no problem. We bought Fiskars earlier, since we like their scissors, but they are terrible with their models of pruning shears. ... show more

Was gifted these after complaining that my other pruners were difficult to use. These work great! Could be that they're newer and thus sharper, but the ease of cutting is much easier. I do not have arthritis, but I do have nerve damage in my right arm and I have smaller/petite hands.

I love the handle on these clippers. My hand fit in it without pain and I was able to squeeze it to cut easily. The fact that it is a ratchet type spring made it easy to use. The blade is sharp and cut through small branches easily. The lock on the clippers however is very hard to use. I could not get it unlocked and had to have my husband unlock it for me. He even struggled with it. I am not able to close and lock it to store the clippers so I have to store them open which isn’t too safe, ... show more

I finally found a great pruning shear. Feels great on the hand and it does the job. Well made for the price. I would of given it a five star rating, but the locking mechanism is not the best. Overall is a great pruning shear.
