Customer service has you on a 24 hour tether before they can reply back, HOWEVER, I could not be more pleased as to the actions and responses from this Family Owned company. There remains confusion as to actual "towing capacity" of this hitch, but let me relay this: I have operated light and heavy trucks and semis, local and over-the-road, with loads over 180,000 pounds, and I HAVE NOT come across a better built 2" receiver hitch and ball combo. The build quality and the looks is absolutely outstanding -second to none. There is absolutely no possibility for you to be disappointed. I regularly tow construction equipment and dump trailers exceeding 18.000 pounds and the use of this product will put that task at ease. The shank is SOLID steel! -where are you going to find that? Harbor Freight? Any box store? HA! The height adjustments lets me perfectly, safely hook Super Duties to any trailer I have come across and pull it perfectly leveled. The fit is very refined and the pinning tolerances are outstanding in quality.

Absolute fabulous high-quality and versatile hitch. I have been towing vehicles and trailers (light to heavy duty) for over 50 years; this is by far the best I have ever purchased and used! I was immediately impressed with the quality packing and shipping foam, box, and hard cardboard type instructions and references...this is one of the best products I have purchased from Amazon in over 15 years! Again, this American made hitch and ball set is the best! I just ordered a 2nd one for my other RAM 3500! No worries about exceeding capabilities and weight/strength standards! Thank you!

It’s solid and definitely best value for the price. Only reason I deducted a star is because if you use the 2.5” adapter, the “anti-rattle” feature is worthless. It’s going to rattle.

I bought this around Christmas time when it was a good price. Today is the first chance I had to install it on my truck. First off, when I got it, the hitch was packaged very nicely in dense foam. The entire box with the hitch and all of the parts weighed 30 pounds. Everything was tightly packed in the box. I ended up transferring the hitch and parts into a tool box for easier storage. I used most of the dense foam in the tool box so the things aren't banging around in it. On the Amazon page, it states PS Auto is an American company. The box that the hitch came in said "Made in China". So don't go thinking that this hitch is American-made. When I bought the hitch, I read all of the reviews (or most of them). One reviewer stated that he purchased another locking hitch pin to lock the hitch balls to the hitch to prevent theft. I thought that's a good idea so I bought the same one. When installing the hitch, there are two holes to lock the hitch on the truck. If you use the hole closest to the receiver, you will need to use the rubber spacers. If you use the hole farthest from the receiver, you only need to use the metal spacer. Once you put the hitch into the receiver, and put the receiver pin in, you can use the included tool to tighten the set screw on the hitch. This screw presses on the metal spacer and takes up the slack in the hitch so that it doesn't the loose hitch noise when stopping and starting. But when you tighten this screw, it also binds the receiver pin in place so you cannot remove it without first loosing the screw. The holes on the hitch for the balls are 1 inch apart, starting at 0 for the top hole (when the hitch extends downward). So if you normally use a 2 inch drop, you can use the 3rd hole down. You can use the included pins to secure the balls to the hitch. Or if you are like me, you can use one pin and the locking pin. So as I was getting the keys for the locking pins onto a key chain, I was thinking that I have too many keys for the different hitch locks I already have. So I decided to replace the included locking receiver pin with my own locking receiver pin. And the included receiver pin is the same length as the hitch pins, so I used it in place of the locking pin I purchased separately. It works fine. Now I just needed to add one key to my trailer lock key chain. If I had thought of this sooner, I wouldn't have purchased the separate locking pin. Food for thought for those thinking about it. Overall, this appears to be a very sturdy, well-built hitch. Since it is all steel, I'm sure it will rust some, but only time will tell. I like that I have the ability to switch between 2" and 2 5/16" balls without having to remove one hitch and install another. I know some reviewers are knocking on the 20,000 lb advertisement when the balls themselves are rated way less. Well, if you are using a 2" receiver hitch, there is no way you have a vehicle that can tow 20,000 lbs. If you have a 3/4 ton or heavier truck, you will be using a 2.5" hitch. So for most, if not all 1/2 trucks, this hitch will perform very well.
