Assembly required. If you're good at puzzles and mechanical IQ toys, this lamp is for you! Haha, all that aside, the lamp is much smaller than it shows in the photos, but it's bright, somewhere between a 60watt and 75watt incandescent lumen, if that comparison helps you. It's definitely for a small bedroom or hallway. It's LED color is a "cool white" or 5500K for you technical folks. Now, when it comes in its box, right away you can see that it is powered by a LED driver(that can be replaced), which is pushing a strip of LED's through the lamp. The thing about LED drivers is, if they get too hot, they will fail and the lamp will not illuminate, so take some consideration in how hot it gets into the room you plan to install. Amazon sells these LED drivers as a component, should the driver fail, and if you are electric and electronic savvy, it should be simple swap. For the value, and what you are getting, it's not a bad deal at all, the lamp is very bright. Hope this helps. ... show more
