This is a set of two battery operated wall sconces. Out of the box there is some assembly required. I give the included instructions a B-, but fortunately the assembly is fairly intuitive. In fact, once you've determined where you want to mount them, it just requires 2 walls screws (Included) to screw a plate to the wall and two more tiny screws to secure the unit into the plate. The units are quite light in weight so don't put much pressure on the wall, but have a nice clean look. The fact that these are battery operated make the setup significantly easier as there's no need to worry about running wires. In fact the entire unit is just a fixture except for the lighting unit which is a rectangular shaped bulb that screws into the fixture like a regular light bulb, except that there's no actual electrical connection. The bulbs have a USB-C port for charging. While you might be able to theoretically squeeze a cord into the bulb while in use, it's clearly not designed for that and the obvious move is to detach the bulb from the unit to plug in and recharge. At the brightest setting it has a runtime of 30 hrs, which is pretty good. So as long as you're not planning to run the lights constantly, the recharging frequency is manageable, but obviously not as nice as a regular electric bulb that you never have to worry about charging. Each unit comes with a remote control that is interchangeable. If the remote is reasonably close, it can operate both lights at once, or just a single light if you aim the remote directly at the unit. There are 3 different temperature options as well as red, green and blue color options (and a color blending option as well), all with different levels of brightness. I might one day want to film a dingy horror movie in a hotel room and use the red light, but for the most part I don't have a need for the colors or flash options, but then again it doesn't hurt either. The remote also includes auto shutoff options: 30 min, 2 hrs, or 4 hrs. I find these units attractive, easy to use, easy to set up, and versatile. My big complaint is that they are not brighter. I would have certainly traded some battery operating time for a higher brightness setting, especially since the brightness is so easily adjusted. I couldn't find an advertised lumen level, but I would guess the highest setting is roughly equivalent to a 40W traditional light bulb. But the bottom line is that if the application only requires providing some ambient light, or a bedtime light, this is a slick solution that's attractive, easy to use, and easy to setup. ... show more

These wall sconces are pretty nice! They work great and hold a good charge for a decent amount of time. They're also not massive and don't take up too much space on my wall. It didn't take me very long to put everything together either, it was very simple and the instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow. Lighting wise, they aren't that bright. Which is great for a comfortable ambiance, just not if you want to see everything clearly. These sconces aren't the only source of light in my room, so the brightness level is fine for me. But it may be too dark for bigger rooms or just hanging up by themselves. The remote works just fine. I didn't have to mash the buttons a million times in order for it to work properly.
