    • Exactly what I was looking for!

I feel like for the price point what you get is a pretty good deal. To me it looks nicer than how much it costs. I bought this to replace an Adesso Arch Floor Lamp that I had previously because it didn’t come with a diffuser disk to go under the shade so the light from the bulb was too heavy, direct, and created unappealing shadows. This one took care of all those issues. I had read in another review that the paper shade part was difficult to stretch out without risk of tearing, but I am happy to report this is not the case. The bottom catch mechanism has an adjustable positioning so it has quite a bit of give in terms of how much you actually have to stretch the shade. The ONLY downside is yes the base is relatively unfinished. Now mind you it’s not AS unfinished as some of the reviews here led me to believe it would be, however, I will still be staining it and sealing it just to get the longevity out of it. Overall great purchase and completely satisfied. Would recommend. ... show more

I loved it, it was easy to put together and looked great. But my cats tore it apart. Cat owners be forwarned!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these! I purchased 3x and placed them in three different corners of our living room. When the lights are out they actually give a very warm honey glow in the room. They take three bulbs and are easy to set-up and replace. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. My husband saw something similar that he wanted in a high-end furniture and lighting store so I searched for a cheaper alternative and I love these so much more! They shipped quickly and were packaged well. The switch to turn them on is just a little floor pad with a button on it that you can step on so no need to bend all the way over to the floor. It also provides a quick lighting change when you're entertaining company! If something were to happen to these lamps in a move, I would purchase them again. ... show more

    • Solid option
Style: Floor Lamp Color: Natural
I love this lamp and how it lights up my entire room from the corner. That said, I wish there was a telescoping option as I would prefer the lamp sit about a foot higher.

    • I'm happy with the quality of the product
Style: Floor Lamp Color: Natural
I'm happy with the quality of the product. It was easy to put together and arrived in good shape. The glow gives a nice ambiance and its bright enough to do some light reading with, although, I probably wouldn't attempt to strain my eyes for too long. I wish the cord from the lamp to the switch was a little longer so I had more options on where to place it around furniture but otherwise it was a good buy for the bedroom. ... show more

Was actually shocked how big and nice this lamp was. It’s actually sturdy considering it’s paper. Very simple and easy to put together. I added a wiz bulb and it lights UP a room.

    • Decent lamp, TERRIBLE packaging, quality control issues
Style: Floor Lamp Color: Natural
I actually liked this floor lamp. I wanted to get two Magnarps from IKEA, but they are not available in the US anymore (still being sold in UK). These Adesso lamps where the closest I could find to the Magnarp in the same price range. The aren't super polished, but they still look fine and do a good job overall. That being said, packaging is the WORST i've seen. Like ever. Putting the lamp together is not complicated, but getting the lamp out of the packaging is a pain. The packaging creates a monumental amount of waste (a mess of cardboard and polystyrene, covered up in plastic tape all over) . A complete shame from the packaging side. I didn't have the shade length problems other have mentioned, but I did have a different problem - the center column, which holds both the bulbs and the shade, ends up in a screw on cap on the top. This cap secures the shade in place. In my case, the cap was fused together with the column. In all likelihood, the cap was assembled while the paint was still fresh, making it impossible to loosen it up without damaging the pieces. I contacted Amazon, and they gave me just two options: Exchange or return (no need to repackage, thankfully). I'd prefer to simple get the two pieces with problems (end section of the center column and the cap). What a shame - it's a waste no matter how you look at it. ... show more
