Description

The Boulevard floor lamp easily illuminates a living room, den or bedroom while projecting stylish sophistication. The chunky satin steel pole body and matching finial create a floating effect for the white silk-like fabric drum shade. Double sockets operated by pull-chains can be fitted with 100 Watt incandescent or equivalent bulbs. Two pull chain switches, each with on/off functionality allow for a dim or bright light setting. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. Bulbs are not included.

This lamp will serve its purpose nicely. The base is heavy enough to stay in place. I like its contemporary style. Assembly was straightforward, though I needed a swipe of sewing machine oil to make the threads turn easily into place. I would caution customers about ordering this lamp. The box arrived smashed and torn open. The lamp was fine but the shade was damaged. Re-packing in the damaged box required a full roll of packing tape. So, off it goes; and let's hope they pack the replacement shade more carefully. Round two update. The replacement arrived, and the box was even more torn up. The shade was bent again, but by turning it to the wall in a corner, I can make it do. They sent not just a replacement shade, but the whole lamp. I like the looks of it, the pull chains, gives good light for sewing, etc. The box it came in was very old, soft, damaged. The lamp parts were fine but the shade was greatly damaged. I'm going to ask them to send me a new shade, but I do not want to disassemble, pack and sent it back. So we'll see what happens about the shade. They should have explained better about taking the finial apart, then putting the shade on and screwing it in. ... show more

I never understood how people are fine with the fact that at least 95% of the lamps out there barely light anything. So I specifically bought this because it has 1) two 100w bulbs and 2) a shade that lets light through. I just wanted a lamp that could actually do a decent job of lighting a space. This definitely exceeded my expectations. I have a moderately strong ceiling light and this lamp outshines it! The materials don't look cheap (unlike some lamps) and it was easy to assemble. Mattresses are getting so thick that standard bedside lamps are aiming too low and it is hard to read in bed. That is why I want taller lamps and/or lamps with two bulbs. This lamp is packaged very well and very easy to put together. It isn't as tall as I would like, but it does have two bulb sockets which makes for a much brighter reading environment. I believe it is rated for 100 watt bulbs, but I bought two warm 60 watt LED bulbs and together they are nice and bright. I prefer a lamp I bought for myself a couple of months ago, but the price keeps going up. Since this is for my husband I decided this is good enough. He rarely reads more than two sentences before falling asleep anyway. Seriously, it is a very good, classic lamp that I would buy again if needed. ... show more

    • Wrong size threaded screws to attach the shade.

I would love to give this 5 stars but I can't. So many boxes to open just to get to the lamp. It goes perfect with a floor lamp I have but trying to attach the shade was a big problem. It was not possible to attach the shade to the rod that holds it. The threaded end is too short. I finally took the metal rod off my old lamp that had two longer threaded ends. The shade went on with no problem and the finial went on. The rod from my old lamp is a little longer so now the lamp is taller. It was to my benefit because now the bulbs do not show at the top of the lamp shade. The shade should have been a couple of inches higher. ... show more

After spending hours and days searching online and in stores for attractive affordable lamps, I took a chance and ordered two of these for my nightstands. This pair provides symmetry and class in my otherwise eclectic furnished bedroom. I appreciate the flexibility of lighting for ambience and reading. The light is warm and cheerful or cozy as one desires. I was not about to spend a fortune at a high end store which now is charging additionally for a shade, for crying out loud! . The Boulevard lamp is adequate in construction. Not exactly heavy weight. Although it won't become a family heirloom, the style is classically simple and artistic and would be compatible in a variety of settings. The size is ample for a living room. In the bedroom it demands more than a wimpy size nightstand. Some might guess I spent more than I did on these lamps. The shades are white when the lamps are unlit; turned on, they appear a soft ivory. The order arrived in just a day or so (amazing) and was well packaged and in fine condition. Assembly was straight forward. I am happy with my purchase and the excellent service. Addendum: After using these lamps for a while I now notice that the column tilts ever-so-slightly. While others may not notice this, it annoys me and I wish I had not made the purchase because of this poor workmanship. ... show more

I looked for a long time for a floor lamp with a simple, but elegant presentation and I am delighted with this one. The large white shade and the two lights with pull chains are lovely indeed. I reduced the stars because of an assembly problem which shouldn't have happened. The piece which holds the lamp shade is two pieces (correctly shown as such in the instructions) but mine came already screwed together and impossible to separate. Customer service quickly mailed me a new one (in two pieces). While I very much appreciate that customer service, I would have preferred they noted this problem before shipping it out - I had company coming and they arrived first! I'm pleased beyond my expectations. After looking and looking for a bedside lamp bright enough to read by and finding only 60-watt or equivalent lamps, I finally thought, What about the company that makes the torchiere I love so much? Addesso! And here it is -- a TWO! 100-watt bulb sleek contemporary lamp that more than does the job. Moreover it has an easy to grab pull switches to turn it off when I want to sleep. Actually, I was looking for something more vintage but I'd rather have enough light than the perfect look. The lampshade casts a comfy diffused glow lovely for reading. It's sturdy and the (apparently new) packaging brought it to me in perfect condition, very easy to assemble. Bravo, Addesso!
